Xiaomi has finally unveiled the Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G smartphone after many weeks of confirming the launch.
The Chinese OEM had revealed almost every specification before the launch through teasers.
It is the first smartphone in the world to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset.
The smartphone is said to launch in global markets under different branding.
It is tipped to launch in India as Poco F5 5G on April 6, 2023.
However, Poco hasn’t officially revealed the launch date of the upcoming Poco F5 5G smartphone.
The Redmi Note 12 Turbo smartphone has officially been launched in China.
It is a new addition to the already existing Redmi Note 12 series, and the first smartphone ever to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen2 SoC ticking at its core.
The all-new Redmi Note 12 Turbo boasts a similar design as its elder siblin Android 13 OS, with a boxy panel, flat edges and a rectangular module to house triple camera sensors.
That said, the phone features a glittery back panel, which looks unique.
Key specs of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo include a 50MP primary camera, Android 13 OS, and an FHD+ AMOLED display.

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo will also be available in a special Harry Potter Edition that comes with a customised design, with the ‘Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry’ logo, Guardian deity “Stag” drawing, and Harry Potter logo engraved on the back panel.
The box packaging will also include a customised back cover, a custom card pin, and some stickers.
The rear camera cutouts resemble Harry’s signature glasses and lightning scars. Additionally, the ‘Harry Potter edition comes with customised boot animation, wallpapers, theme, and more.
Redmi Note 12 Turbo specifications
The Redmi Note 12 Turbo is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen2 SoC, which is paired with Adreno GPU for graphics, up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB UFS 3.1 storage. The storage is further expandable via a microSD card.
The phone sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2,400 x1,080 pixels resolution, adaptive HDR, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, 1920Hz PWM, 1000nits brightness, a punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, and flat edges.
Moving to optics, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo Edition is said to come with a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens. The phone could house a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats.
The handset measures 161.11x 74.95×7.99mm and weighs 181 grams.
Other features include Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, an x-axis motor, IR Blaster, and Hi-Res audio.
