Redmi has officially launched the Redmi K90 Pro Max in China, alongside the standard Redmi K90. The new flagship from Xiaomi’s sub-brand packs top-tier specifications including Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a 7,560mAh battery, and Bose-tuned 2.1 channel stereo speakers. It also features Xiaomi’s new D2 display chip, further enhancing the device’s visual performance. Here’s everything you need to know about the new Redmi flagship.
The Redmi K90 Pro Max sports a 6.9-inch OLED display that supports HDR10+, HDR Vivid, and Dolby Vision for an immersive visual experience. The screen delivers a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 3,500 nits, and can dim down to just 1 nit for comfortable low-light viewing. It also comes with a Full RGB Array and Upgraded Eye Protection 3.0, designed to reduce eye strain during extended use.

Under the hood, the smartphone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor paired with Xiaomi’s AI-powered D2 graphics chip. It uses the brand’s largest-ever 3D ice-cooled circulation cooling pump, ensuring consistent performance even during intensive tasks such as gaming or multitasking.
Powering the device is a 7,560mAh battery that supports 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 22.5W reverse charging, offering excellent flexibility for users.
In the camera department, the Redmi K90 Pro Max becomes the first Redmi phone to feature a 5x periscope telephoto lens. The triple-camera setup includes a 50MP Light Hunter 950 main sensor, a 50MP JN5 5x periscope telephoto camera supporting 5x optical, 10x lossless, and 20x UltraZoom, along with a 50MP OV50M ultra-wide lens offering a 102° field of view and f/2.4 aperture.
The phone runs Android 16 with HyperOS 3, offering a smooth and optimised software experience. For audio, Redmi has collaborated with Bose to deliver a 2.1-channel stereo system featuring two super-linear speakers and one oversized woofer for an enhanced sound experience.

The Redmi K90 Pro Max starts at CNY 3,999 (approx. Rs. 49,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB model. The 12GB + 512GB and 16GB + 512GB variants are priced at CNY 4,499 (around Rs. 55,000) and CNY 4,799 (about Rs. 59,000), respectively, while the top-end 16GB + 1TB version costs CNY 5,299 (roughly Rs. 65,000).
Meanwhile, the standard Redmi K90 starts at CNY 2,599 (around Rs. 32,000) for the base 12GB + 256GB configuration. Other variants include 16GB + 256GB (CNY 2,899 / Rs. 35,000), 12GB + 512GB (CNY 3,199 / Rs. 39,000), 16GB + 512GB (CNY 3,499 / Rs. 43,000), and 16GB + 1TB (CNY 3,999 / Rs. 49,000).

Both models will be available for purchase in China through the company’s official online store. The Redmi K90 will be offered in White, Black, Aqua Blue, and Light Purple shades, while the Redmi K90 Pro Max will come in Denim, Golden White, and Black finishes.
