The TECNO Spark 50 5G is now available for purchase in India starting today i.e April 3. It was launched in India last week and has been positioned as a durability-focused budget 5G device with a strong emphasis on battery life and connectivity. The TECNO Spark 50 5G is priced at ₹16,999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model costs ₹18,999.
The device is available across both online and offline retail channels with no-cost EMI options offered for up to eight months.
It comes in multiple colour options including Fantasy Purple, Mint Green, Champagne Gold, and Ink Black.
The TECNO Spark 50 5G features a 6.78-inch HD+ LCD display and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 6nm chip that is fairly common in entry-level 5G phones at the moment. The phone is further paired with either 4GB or 6GB RAM and 128GB storage with a microSD slot if you need more space.
A key highlight of the TECNO Spark 50 5G is its large 6,500mAh battery, which is bigger than what is typically offered in this price segment, making it suitable for users who prioritise long-lasting usage.
The device also focuses heavily on durability. It comes with MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification and an IP64 rating offering protection against dust and splashes. This indicates that the smartphone is built to handle real-world usage conditions more effectively.
There’s a single 50MP rear sensor and an 8MP front camera. On the connectivity front, the phone supports 5G+ carrier aggregation ensuring better network performance. It also features FreeLink 2.0 technology, which is designed to enable communication even in low or no-network environments.
In terms of software, TECNO is incorporating a range of AI-driven features into the device. These include an AI Writing Assistant, AI Eraser 2.0, AI Image Extender and an AI WhatsApp Assistant. The smartphone also comes with Ella-powered tools alongwith features like active noise cancellation and voice-based announcements.
