Xiaomi has expanded its entry-level smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the Redmi A7 Pro 4G and Redmi A7 4G. The new models arrive just a week after the debut of the Redmi A7 Pro 5G and bring budget-friendly specifications including the Unisoc T7250 processor and 13-megapixel cameras. Here are more details.
Both newly launched Redmi A7 Series smartphones will be available for purchase starting April 23, 2026 via Mi.com, Amazon India, Flipkart and Xiaomi retail stores across the country.
The Redmi A7 Pro 4G is priced at ₹11,999 for the single 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. It is available in Black and Sunset Orange colour options.
Meanwhile, the Redmi A7 4G comes at ₹10,999 for the 3GB + 64GB variant and is offered in Black and Sky Blue colourways.
The Redmi A7 Pro 4G features a 6.9-inch LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels, while the Redmi A7 4G gets a slightly smaller 6.88-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 720 x 1,640 pixels.
Both displays support a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 800 nits peak brightness, a 240Hz touch sampling rate and 8-bit colour depth. The screens also feature a centred hole-punch cutout for the front camera.
Under the hood, both smartphones are powered by the Unisoc T7250 chipset. The Pro variant comes with 4GB of RAM, while the standard model includes 3GB of RAM. Both devices offer 64GB of internal storage and include a dedicated microSD card slot for expansion up to 2TB.
On the software side, the Redmi A7 Pro 4G runs on Android 16-based HyperOS 3 and is promised to receive four years of Android updates along with six years of security updates. In comparison, the Redmi A7 4G operates on Android 15-based HyperOS 2 and will get two years of OS updates and three years of security updates.
For photography, both devices feature a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and a USB Type-C port. Both handsets also come with an IP52 rating for dust and splash resistance.
The Redmi A7 Pro 4G measures 171.56 x 79.47 x 8.15mm and weighs 208 grams. It packs a 6,300mAh battery. The Redmi A7 4G, on the other hand, measures 171.79 x 79.77 x 8.26mm and weighs around 193 grams. Both smartphones support 15W wired charging and 7.5W reverse wired charging.
