Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its new budget smartphone the Redmi A5 in India. The device has just cleared BIS certification, spotted with model 25028RN03I, along with its rebranded variant the POCO C71 with model number 25028PC03I. This confirms that both phones will be hitting the Indian market later this month.

The side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone jack and FM radio were also part of the package.

The phone was spotted in Malaysia’s SIRIM database, confirming some key details including an IP69 rating for durability, a 5,600mAh battery, 120Hz display, a flat design, 8GB RAM (expandable to 24GB) and 128GB storage.

The chipset is still currency unknown but with its high refresh rate and large battery, the C75x could be another strong budget offering from Realme.
