Redmi has introduced a new 6GB RAM + 128GB storage version of its Redmi A4 5G smartphone in India. Priced at ₹9,999, the new variant is now available on Amazon India. This joins the earlier 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB models that were launched back in November.

Redmi A4 5G – Features

While there is a RAM upgrade, nothing else changes in the Redmi A4 5G in terms of specs. The phone still features a 6.88-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 600 nits peak brightness. It runs on the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset and ships with Xiaomi’s HyperOS based on Android 14.

The phone is backed by a 5160mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. You get a 50MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie shooter. Xiaomi has also promised two years of software updates and four years of security patches.

Other key features include dual SIM support, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 4GB virtual RAM, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone uses LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.

It supports Jio True 5G and sports a stylish halo glass back. In terms of dimensions, the phone measures 171.88mm tall, 77.80mm wide, and 8.22mm thick. It weighs 212.35 grams.

Redmi Pad 2 Also Launches in India

Alongside the new A4 5G variant, Redmi has also launched the Redmi Pad 2 in India. The budget-friendly tablet features an 11-inch 2.5K LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, Dolby Atmos quad speakers, and is powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra processor.
