The new Redmi 15A 5G is available for purchase in India starting today i.e. April 3. It was launched earlier this week and it targets budget buyers looking for an affordable 5G device with a large battery. The Redmi 15A 5G is priced at ₹12,999 for the base variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The 4GB RAM + 128GB storage model is available for ₹14,499, while the top-end variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at ₹16,499.
The smartphone is available via the company’s official website, Flipkart, and offline retail stores.
Buyers can choose from three colour options, which are Awesome Blue, Amaze Purple and Ace Black.
The Redmi 15A 5G’s sports a large 6.9-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The LCD panel features a waterdrop notch design and offers a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and peak brightness of 800 nits. It also includes Wet Touch 2.0 technology enabling smooth usage even with wet hands.
On the software front, the smartphone runs on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. It is powered by the UniSoC T8300 octa-core processor built on a 6nm process with clock speeds ranging between 2.0GHz and 2.2GHz paired with a Mali-G57 GPU for graphics. The company is promising four generations of Android OS upgrades along with six years of security updates.
The device also supports virtual RAM expansion, allowing users to extend the total RAM up to 12GB by combining physical and virtual memory (6GB + 6GB). It uses LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage technology. Additional features include Google Gemini, Circle to Search and Xiaomi Interconnectivity.
In terms of cameras, the smartphone features a dual rear camera setup with a 32-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and LED flash, accompanied by a secondary AI lens. On the front, it houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calls. The device also comes with an IP52 rating for protection against dust and water.

Xiaomi claims that the battery is engineered to maintain optimal health for up to four years.
