A recent Counterpoint Research revealed that Xiaomi grew the fastest with 27% YoY shipment growth among the world’s top OEMs in the smartphone industry. This should surprise you if you have been following the smartphone market even a little bit. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has been dedicated to catering to every consumer segment with a special focus on lower price segment.
The company has multiple sub-brands and continuously refreshes its entry-level lineup. There is always news about a new Xiaomi smartphone in the making. One such recent report has hinted at not one but two new upcoming smartphones again.
Gizmochina in one of its recent exclusive reports has revealed details of spotting Redmi 14 and POCO M7 in the IMEI database.

The Gizmochina team has shared details of spotting Redmi 14 4G in the IMEI database. The listing shows four model numbers “25028RN03L”, “25028RN03I”, “25028RN03Y” and “25028RN03A”.

The report also reveals that the letters at the end of each of these model numbers identify the regions where the particular smartphone will be launched.
For example, the letter “L” in the model number “25028RN03L” tells us this smartphone will be launched in Latin America. Similarly, the letter “I” in the model number “25028RN03I” identifies the region where the phone will be available as India.
On the other hand, the letter Y at the end of the model number “25028RN03Y” represents the NFC version of the Redmi 14.
The letter A represents in model number “25028RN03A” reveals that it is the non-NFC version of the device.
Screenshots shared in the report also revealed that smartphones will have the codenames “watt” and “volt”.
Meanwhile, POCO M7 4G was also spotted with model numbers “25028PC03G”, “25028PC03I” and “25028PC03Y” in the IMEI lists. The Redmi 14 will be rebranded as POCO M7.

In these model numbers too we have a letter at the end that signifies the region where the phone will be launched. “Y” in Poco M7 model number “25028PC03Y” stands for the Global version with NFC, and “G” in model number “25028PC03G” is for the Global version without NFC. Last but not least, the “I” in model number “25028PC03I” is for the Indian market.

As per some rumours, the Redmi 14 will have mostly similar features to the previous generation Redmi 13. This rumour has chances are turning true since Redmi 13 was also very similar to its predecessor.
