Xiaomi India, the country’s most trusted Smartphone X AIoT brand, has accelerated the transformation towards 5G in India. Since its Global Debut in India last week, the Redmi 12 5G has emerged as the highest selling 5G smartphone on Amazon.in basis volume in 2023.
Since going on sale, the Redmi 12 5G went out of stock within 24 hours on Amazon India, as demand spawned pan-India across 9500+ pin codes in the country.

The Redmi 12 5G is also India’s first smartphone to house the Snapdragon® 4 Gen 2 5G processor, featuring a flagship-level 4nm architecture, that efficiently unlocks 5G capabilities for a faster connectivity.
Redmi 12 5G went on sale for an effective price inclusive of offers at INR 10,999 for 4GB+128GB, INR 12,499 for 6GB+128GB and INR 14,499 for 8GB+256GB on August 4th, selling out within 24 hours.
Redmi 12 5G named the top selling 5G phone on Amazon’s Day 1 sale. Without mentioning the exact number of the units, Xiaomi has revealed that the newly announced Redmi 12 5G was completely sold out within the first day of the sale on Amazon India.
As per the company, the orders for this device were received from all corners of the country, encompassing over 9500 distinct pin codes across India.
Redmi 12 5G was launched at a starting price of Rs 11,999 for the base model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. It comes in two more variants of 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB priced at Rs 13,499 and Rs 15,499, respectively.

The company also claims to have 550nits of peak brightness which will be handy for sunny outdoor conditions.
The Redmi 12 5G also doesn’t compromise on camera quality with its 50MP primary camera, complemented by an 8MP secondary lens.
And for selfie lovers, there’s an 8MP front camera housed in the punch-hole up top.
A phone with these high-end specs needs a battery that can keep up, and the Redmi 12 5G delivers with a sizeable 5,000mAh battery.
It’s also equipped with 22.5W fast charging, ensuring that you spend reasonably less time tethered to the power socket.
