Realme Neo 8 teaser.
Realme has officially confirmed that the Realme Neo 8 will be unveiled later this month in China. Along with the launch confirmation, the company has shared the first official image of the smartphone in one of its colour variants. It offers an early look at its updated design language and signalling a more premium direction for the Neo series this year. The brand has also released separate video and chipset-related teasers.

The Realme Neo 8 sports a transparent, cyber-themed rear panel finished in a newly introduced “Cyber Purple” colour. The see-through design reveals stylised internal patterns, giving the device a futuristic and tech-focused appearance.
Positioned on the right side of the camera module is Realme’s signature Awakening Halo lighting system, which makes a return on the Neo 8. This RGB-style lighting element is designed to illuminate during notifications and charging. Another standout detail is the “120X” branding near the camera housing, hinting at the inclusion of a periscope telephoto camera capable of delivering extended zoom performance.
Realme has also confirmed a notable build upgrade for the Neo 8 lineup. The smartphone will move away from plastic construction, with all variants featuring a metal middle frame combined with a glass back. This change is expected to enhance both durability and the overall in-hand feel.
According to recent leaks, the Realme Neo 8 is likely to feature a 6.78-inch Samsung AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a smooth 165Hz refresh rate. The panel is said to support an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner and carry full water-resistance certification.
One of the previous teasers has already confirmed that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. It will paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, placing it squarely in the flagship performance category.
The handset is also tipped to pack a massive 8,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. While complete camera specifications are yet to be revealed, reports point to the presence of a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor.
If current pricing trends hold, the Realme Neo 8 could launch at around 2,500 Yuan (around $360), making it a compelling option in its segment.
