Realme NARZO 70 Turbo 5G is Realme’s latest addition to the successful NARZO series. Keeping up with the signature NARZO eye-catching Motorsport-inspired design and advanced Turbo Technology, the NARZO 70 Turbo packs some powerful hardware.
The brand is claiming this to be the “industry’s first gaming fluency-certified” smartphone offering “segment’s smoothest gaming experience.” We had to test it for all of that and much more. We managed to spend some time with the phone and here’s our full Realme NARZO 70 Turbo 5G review and first-hand experience.

The “eye-catching Motorsport-inspired design” of Realme Narzo 70 Turbo is exactly that – eye-catching.
We had the Turbo Green colour variant for this review and it is something that we never go unnoticed in your hands. The phone is lightweight and slim, which adds to the overall ease of handling. This is also a plus for gamers to get a comfortable gaming experience.
The back of the phone is shiny and changes colour when tilted in different directions. The finish is smooth. We especially loved the camera module, which is both neat and not intruding at all. The steel frame around the camera phone looks stylish.
It comes with something called 2.8D equal-depth micro-curve design. This gives the back cover of the phone curved edges that merge with the middle frame smoothly.
It comes with an IP65 rating, so you can wave off some worry for dust & water splashes.
Overall, we loved the design of the phone. As for colour options, in case the Turbo Green is not something you instantly like, Realme is also releasing Turbo Yellow and Turbo Purple colours that are worth checking out.
The 6.67-inch Samsung E4 OLED screen is impressive. It is perfect for everything from gaming to streaming videos. The first thing we noticed about the display is its rather narrow bezels. The uniformly narrow bezels add to the immersive experience.
This Realme phone comes with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is understandable since we saw the marketing of the phone was around its gaming capability. This makes the phone incredibly smooth. We didn’t face any issues with regular scrolling and swiping.
The phone handles outside brightness well too. With 600 nits for everyday use and up to 1200 nits in High Brightness Mode. We tried using this under direct sunlight and it performed satisfactorily.
The colour reproduction is fantastic though. With 16.7 million colours and a 106% NTSC colour gamut, it brings everything to life. Again an advantage for gamers.
The Pro-XDR display technology also enhances the visual quality. It makes images and videos look more detailed.
As for durability, the screen is protected by AG DT Star 2 glass and has a Protective Film Touch.
It has an in-display fingerprint sensor. We found that to be working smoothly.
The phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy processor that promises a powerful performance.
Whether multitasking or playing high-frame-rate games, the phone handles everything smoothly.
While we tested different tasks on the phone, we noticed how the power consumption is relatively low and it is capable of providing a stable performance throughout the day.
And then the dynamic RAM — it’s a whopping 26GB (12GB physical + 14GB virtual).
This setup, backed by the advanced DRE technology, lets you keep up with multitasking. The brand claims you can keep 32 apps and 7 games running in the background without any lag or slowdown. In our experience, we tried to open multiple apps and play two games in intervals. The phone was able to handle it while maintaining responsiveness.
App launches and switching between tasks never seemed to be a problem to us.
Plus, with UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR4 RAM, everything feels quick, from loading apps to saving files.
The 4 × 2.5GHz A78 cores and advanced 4nm process technology deliver impressive speed and efficiency. It scores over 750,000 on the AnTuTu benchmark, making it one of the most powerful phones in its segment. We also performed some other benchmark tests on the phone and the results are better than most phones we have seen in the segment.
Realme Narzo 70 Turbo is designed and developed for gamers. And it is very evident from everything Realme has thoughtfully done to elevate the experience every gamer will have with the phone. Let’s discuss each one by one.
Stainless Steel Vapor Cooling System: We immediately while playing our first game of the phone realised how a stainless steel vapour cooling system makes a huge difference. With an area of 6050mm², the heat dissipation system kept the phone cool even after hours of gaming. It surely helps in maintaining performance during long gaming sessions. It also uses the bi-directional circulating convection heat dissipation technology, also found in flagship GT models.
90fps Fast Gaming: The highlight for any gamer is smooth frame rates, and the Narzo 70 Turbo 5G didn’t disappoint. It’s the first in its segment to feature 90fps for multiple popular games like PUBG, Free Fire, and Call of Duty. The higher frame rate was immediately noticeable in fast-paced games. The action felt smoother, and the controls were more responsive. With GT Mode enabled, the frame rates stayed consistent. We got a 90fps experience that felt far superior to the usual 60fps performance.
GT Mode + GT Gaming Features: GT Mode is where the magic happens. Once activated, the Realme Narzo 70 Turbo 5G’s performance felt like it suits the name – TURBO. It cranked up the CPU and GPU frequencies for an e-sports-level experience. Geek Power Tuning lets you customize the CPU and GPU settings to optimize performance.
Plus, the Quick Startup feature saved a lot of time by instantly launching the game when switching back from other apps.
TÜV SÜD Lag-free Mobile Gaming Certification: One of the standout features of this phone is its TÜV SÜD certification. It promises lag-free gaming and delivers as well. With this e-sports-level certification, we didn’t get any sudden drops in performance or lags.
Overall, if you’re into mobile gaming, the Realme Narzo 70 Turbo 5G is a fantastic choice. Its advanced cooling system, high frame rates, customizable GT Mode, and certification for lag-free performance make it a powerful companion for gamers.
The Realme Narzo 70 Turbo 5G’s camera performance is more than decent for its price range.
It features a dual camera setup with a 50MP AI camera paired with a 2MP secondary camera.
The camera combination captures detailed shots, especially when you are outdoors or have good lighting around. In low-lighting conditions, the camera visibly struggles to get clear pictures.
It also had the LightFusion Engine, last seen in the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G. Now this is supposed to enhance the camera’s ability to capture vibrant images with great light and shadow balance, giving photos a three-dimensional feel.
We, however, felt this camera setup overexposes the shots at times when the lighting is too bright.
The 16MP selfie camera is decent. It can deliver clear photos and do everything you expect a front camera to do. Nothing fancy but does the job.
The Realme Narzo 70 Turbo 5G is packed with a 5000mAh battery and 45W ultra-fast charging. To be honest, this is basic for a decently good gaming phone. But Realme works well with these specifications.
On a full charge, the phone easily supports up to 9 hours of continuous use or even hours of heavy gameplay. It is one last tickmark that makes it ideal for gamers.
The plus point here is you can get up to 1.7 hours of gameplay with just a quick 10-minute charge — perfect for those last-minute gaming sessions.
Realme also built in 38 safety protections like overvoltage and overcurrent protection, ensuring the battery is safe and reliable. Even after 1600 full charge cycles, the battery still retains 80% capacity. This mainly means it is durable for up to 4 years, which is great for long-term use.
If you’re looking for a budget-friendly gaming phone with good overall performance, the Realme Narzo 70 Turbo 5G is a solid choice.
With its smooth 120Hz OLED display, powerful hardware, and excellent gaming features like 90fps support and GT Mode, it offers an impressive overall experience. The cooling system ensures sustained performance during long gaming sessions, and the TÜV SÜD certification guarantees lag-free gameplay. Combined with a fast-charging 5000mAh battery and versatile camera setup, it’s great for both gamers and everyday users.
For its price, it’s a top contender in the segment.
