  • Realme 12 series expected to have a unique circular camera design.

Realme, a brand known for its smartphones, has also been making a name for itself in other electronics categories.

Over the past few years, they’ve expanded their product range to include smart TVs, streaming devices, audio equipment, and even laptops.

Realme Book Series Removed?

Their first foray into the laptop market in India was in August 2021, with the launch of the Realme Book (Slim).

However, it appears that Realme is changing course.

Recently, they’ve decided to discontinue the entire Realme Book laptop series in India.

This development was first hinted at when a user, Jhaba (@JhabarMS), inquired about purchasing the Realme Book and Realme Watch on X, a social media platform.

Realme’s official India support team responded to the query with the news that the Realme Book has been discontinued and removed from their official website.

Curious about this, we also checked Realme’s official site and confirmed that indeed, all models from the Realme Book lineup have been taken down.

Despite this, the Realme Book Prime, released in 2022, is still available on e-commerce sites like Flipkart and Amazon in India, although it seems only a limited stock remains.

While the Realme Book series is no longer listed on the Indian website, it’s worth noting that it’s still up for sale on Realme’s China site.

Also, if you visit the official website for the Realme Book and click on the “Buy Now” button, it simply redirects you back to the homepage.

Anticipation for Realme 12 Series

Anticipation for Realme 12 Series

A report from 91mobiles, based on information from tipster Ishan Agarwal, suggests that the Realme 12 Pro+ model will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset.

This detail, though not officially confirmed by Realme, puts the 12 Pro+ in direct competition with similar offerings like the Redmi Note 13 Pro, which also uses the same chipset.

In terms of design and specifications, the Realme 12 series is expected to stand out with a unique circular camera layout on the back.

This design includes dual camera sensors and a rectangular periscope lens.

The Realme 12 Pro+ is likely to feature a 64MP OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, while the Realme 12 Pro is anticipated to sport a 32MP Sony IMX709 telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom.

Additionally, the Realme 12 Pro is expected to run on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC.

Adding to their credibility, both the Pro and Pro+ variants have already received BIS and TDRA certifications, indicating their readiness for the market.
