After the release of Realme GT6 last month, Realme is back to the stands with its new Realme 13 series in India.
The Realme 13 series has two 5G phones, a standard version of Realme 13 and a slightly upgraded variant of Realme 13+.
While we will be closing looking at both, here we are sharing our review of the more affordable Realme 13 5G.
Available in Dark Purple and Speed Green colour variants, the Realme 13 5G price in India is Rs. 17,999 for the 8GB + 128GB and the 8GB + 256GB model costs Rs. 19,999.
Here’s our Realme 13 5G review.
| Pros | Cons |
| ● Dimensity 6300 5G Chipset
● GT Mode & 60fps for stable gaming ● Segment’s first 2K OIS video ● 120Hz Eye Comfort Display ● Stainless Steel Vapor Cooling System ● Good battery capacity ● 45W Fast charging ● Stereo Dual Speakers |

| Colours | Dark Purple
Speed Green |
| Dimensions | 165.6mm x 76.1mm x 7.79mm |
| Weight | 190g |
The first thing we noticed about Realme 13 5g is its sharp-edged boxy body.
It feels strong in hands.
Boxy smartphone bodies are pretty subjective.
Some people like it and some don’t.
But Realme has made it slim with 7.79mm thickness.
And what exceptionally works in its favour is how lightweight is it.
The ultra-slim profile gives a comfortable grip. We could handle the phone with ease.
Realme has adopted “Victory Speed Design.”
While we are not sure what that means, the phone has a dynamic vibe. This was inspired by the victory screens in games like MLBB and Free Fire.
Realme also says the phone has customised arcs, known as “Speedy Curve.”
We like the unique back panel texture of Realme 13, the brand is calling it the “Speedy Lightning Texture.”
It feels like marble in hand. Because of this texture, the phone is practically scratch or smudge-resistant.
We had the Speed Green variant for this review and it looks good.
Durability is also something that Realme has clearly worked on.
Realme has used a one-piece metal skeleton, die-cast aluminium construction, and a cushioning protection system to protect internal components from impacts.
The IP64 dust and water resistance adds another layer of protection.
But that is not all, Realme 13 5G also comes with the Rainwater Smart Touch feature. We tried this and the screen remains responsive even when wet.
Overall, with respect to design, the Realme 13 perfectly blends style, comfort, and durability. It is surely a solid choice for gaming and everyday use.

| Sampling Rate | Up to 240Hz |
| Contrast Ratio | 1500:1 |
| Brightness | 580nit |
| Colour Depth | 8bit |
| Supports | Eye Comfort, Dark Mode |
The display of Realme 13 instantly feels huge and instantly stands out when we first look at the phone.
At 6.72 inches, the LCD screen is crisp and vibrant. With a sharp FHD+ resolution of 1080 × 2400, everything looks clear and detailed.
What also stood out for us was the effect of Realme making the display’s refresh rate versatile.
We tried testing it and it jumps from a basic 45Hz to a smooth 120Hz. All your scrolling and gaming experiences feel fluid and responsive.
On top of that, the touch sampling rate of up to 240Hz makes the screen quick to react.
If you are a gamer, this will definitely give you an edge in fast-paced games.
The brightness level reaches up to 580 nits, which isn’t much. But we tried using the phone outdoors and it worked fine.
However, you can’t expect this in direct sunlight.
For users who indulge in long streaming sessions, the Realme 13 5G has Eye Comfort and Dark Mode features.
These features are supposed to help reduce eye strain.

Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, it wasn’t surprising to us that Realme 13 5G Is reliable when it comes to performance.
This processor scores an impressive 460,000 on AnTuTu benchmark.
This is about 10% higher than some of its competitors such as the vivo Y58.
The powerful Cortex A76 CPU cores clocked at up to 2.4GHz ensure that the Realme 13 5G responds quickly to commands.
As we tried different tasks, the phone handled every basic task with ease.
Whether it is multitasking, browsing or even gaming. It feels snappy and efficient.
Built on a 6nm process, the phone works with fast speeds whether you’re gaming, creating content, or handling everyday tasks.
Overall, the Realme 13 5G performance is seamless and keeps up with the demands of the segment.
It can prove to be good for both work and play.
| Gaming | ● Stereo Dual Speakers
● 6-axis Hypersensitive Gyroscope ● Antenna Array Matrix System |
| Features | ● Visual Immersion with the 120Hz Eye Comfort Display
● Segment-Leading Heat Dissipation ● Stable 60fps |
If you’re into gaming, the Realme 13 5G is built to impress you.
For peak gaming performance, Realme has introduced GT Mode to the 13 5G.
We tried this and it activates a range of optimisations instantly.
The phone tunes geek power tuning, quick startup, Wi-Fi tracker, game filters, voice changer, and a game focus mode with bullet notifications.
The phone’s gaming-focused features stand out immediately once you start playing any game on this device.
What added to our experience was the stereo dual speakers.
It creates an immersive sound.
You get rich and clear audio that enhances the gameplay experience.
Another aspect that stood out when we were testing the phone is the stable 60fps.
Realme 13 delivers smooth visuals and responsive controls consistently, even in fast-paced games like MLBB and Free Fire.
To enhance your gameplay experience even more, the phone comes with a 6-axis hypersensitive gyroscope.
It adds precision to motion controls.
So, in games, if you’re tilting to steer in a race or aim in shooters, movements feel more natural and responsive.
It also features an Antenna Array Matrix System.
This gives stable and reliable connectivity.
So, how it helps in gaming is that you don’t have to worry about dropped signals or lag spikes.
Gaming remains smooth and uninterrupted.
Realme 13 5G also boasts the largest stainless steel vapour cooling area you can find in the segment. It measures a massive 2249mm².
This, combined with bi-directional circulating convection heat dissipation technology, keeps the phone cool even during long, intense gaming sessions.

The Realme 13 comes with a 50MP main camera with a Samsung S5KJNS sensor.
We got some sharp and clear photos with the main lens.
It is supported by Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
This lens is programmed to reduce blur caused by shaky hands.
We tried to test this and photos with Realme 13 came out clearer even when we tried it in a hurry.
We felt this to be a good phone for capturing those spontaneous moments.
After a few tries, we didn’t worry about blur.
The lens offers a 77.9° field of view and an f/1.8 aperture.
We felt the lens allows more light to enter the frame when in a well-lit environment.
However, our experience with low-light shots was a little underwhelming.
The 5P lens setup does add to the overall clarity and quality of pictures, but we guess its impact is negligible.
The Realme 13 camera system comes with Segment-First 2K OIS Video support. We tried shooting videos in both night and daylight.
While the high-resolution format captures every detail, videos sometimes struggle with the focus.
However, in our experience, the OIS does help to keep footage smooth and stable. It works even if you’re recording on the go.
The 16MP front camera is decent for selfies and video calls. With a 1/3.1” sensor and f/2.4 aperture, it gives bright and clear images.
The Realme 13 5G packs a powerful 5000mAh battery.
This makes sure you can go through your day without constantly worrying about recharging.
And we have the 45W SuperVOOC fast charging.
With this, you can charge your phone super fast to get back to what you were doing in no time.
Here’s Realme 13 5g battery and battery features at a glance.

However, what stands out for us is how the phone excels in gaming.
In this segment, this is a good catch.
It comes with features like GT Mode, dual stereo speakers, and advanced cooling technology.
