Pova 8 Pro 5G has been launched in India today to expand the existing Pova smartphone lineup. The new smartphone comes after the standard Pova 8 was launched in the country in June 2026. The Pro model brings a 144Hz AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity Ultimate 7400 processor, up to 24GB extended RAM, a 6,500mAh battery and a unique LED Alive Matrix display on the rear panel. Pova 8 Pro 5G – Price and Availability in India
POVA 8 Pro sale is scheduled to start on 21st August at 12 Noon via Flipkart and at retail stores near you.
The newly launched phone is available in two memory options of 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage configurations. As for pricing, it starts at Rs 49,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model and Rs 54,999 for the 12GB + 512GB version.
As a part of special launch offer, the phone is available at Rs 46,999 for 8 RAM and 256GB storage variant. This launch price is after an instant cashback of Rs. 3,000 with select credit cards, debit cards, and UPI transactions.

The phone comes in three colour options named Arc White, Graphite Black and Tundra Green.
Pova 8 Pro 5G – Key Features
The new Pova 8 Pro 5G features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1208 × 2644-pixel 1.5K resolution. The screen has a 19.6987:9 aspect ratio, 429 PPI pixel density and supports a 144Hz refresh rate. The display offers up to 4,500 nits HBM brightness and a 2,800Hz instant touch sampling rate, which should be particularly useful for gaming and other touch-heavy tasks.

One of the phone’s most distinctive features is the Alive Matrix Display on the rear panel. It consists of 177 mini LEDs that create a “Breathing Light” effect across more than 49 scenarios. The rear LED system can provide different lighting effects for situations such as incoming calls, messages, gaming and file transfers.
The Pova 8 Pro 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity Ultimate 7400 chipset built on a 4nm process featuring a 2.6GHz octa-core CPU and an Arm Mali-G615 GPU. The phone supports LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, while expandable storage is not available. With memory expansion, the 8GB RAM variants can offer up to 16GB RAM (8GB + 8GB), while the 12GB RAM variants can offer up to 24GB RAM (12GB + 12GB).
It measures 162.48mm in height, 77.27mm in width and 7.39mm in thickness, while weighing 189 grams.
For photography, the Pova 8 Pro 5G has a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700c main camera and an 8MP wide-angle camera with autofocus. The cameras have f/1.88 and f/2.2 apertures with view angles of 84.1 degrees and 111.4 degrees. A flash is also included, while autofocus is available. On the front, the phone gets a 13MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture and an 82-degree view angle. It uses a screen flash and has fixed focus.
Pova 8 Pro 5G packs a 6,500mAh Li-Polymer ion battery. The battery is non-removable and supports 45W fast charging.
The phone carries IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings offering protection against dust and water in different conditions. It also comes with SGS-certified military-grade protection. It supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 for wireless connectivity and also has a Type-C earphone jack, OTG support and GPS.
It has several sensors such as a distance sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, E-Compass, NFC, hard gyro, in-display fingerprint sensor and infrared sensor.
