The Poco X8 Pro series, featuring two models Poco X8 Pro Max 5G and Poco X8 Pro 5G, has been officially launched in India. Here’s everything we know about the phones, starting with prices and availability.
The new Poco X8 Pro series phones will go on sale in India on March 23 at 12 pm IST via Flipkart. Poco X8 Pro Max 5G is available in Black, White and Blue colour options. Meanwhile, Poco X8 Pro comes in Black, White and Green colours.
However, all the above-mentioned prices are after the bank discounts and introductory offers that can be availed with HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and SBI cards.
The Poco X8 Pro Max 5G features a 6.83-inch display with a resolution of 2772 x 1280 pixels and HDR10+ support.
It offers an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 30Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz up to 120Hz, with support for 120Hz in the top 20 games.
The panel delivers up to 2000 nits HBM brightness and 3500 nits peak brightness (25% APL), along with a pixel density of 447 PPI and a 94.23% screen-to-body ratio. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and comes with TÜV Rheinland certification for eye protection.
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset, built on a 3nm process, and is paired with a large 5800mm² 3D ICELOOP cooling system. The device is claimed to achieve an AnTuTu v11 score of around 3 million. It comes with 12GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and offers 256GB and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage options.
On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 16 with HyperOS 3.0 and is promised 4 major OS updates along with 6 years of security updates.
In terms of optics, the phone features a Sony IMX882 sensor in a dual rear camera setup featuring a 50MP (UW) and 8MP sensor. Alongside, you will get a 20MP front camera. The camera system supports 4K video recording at 60fps on the rear and 1080p at 60fps on the front.
