POCO is all set to introduce its latest offering, the POCO X6 Series, to the Indian market.
Excitement is building as the series, including the much-anticipated POCO X6 Pro, is slated for an Indian launch on January 11, 2023, as indicated by a new microsite that is now live on Flipkart.
The POCO X6 Pro, expected to be a revamped version of the Redmi K70e, promises a compelling mix of design and technology.
It’s slated to feature triple rear cameras and a modern hole-punch display, along with the distinctive POCO Yellow variant.
The device is expected to boast a 6.67-inch OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Camera enthusiasts can look forward to a 64MP primary sensor, complemented by an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro shooter, alongside a 16MP selfie camera.
However, POCO might reduce the charging speed to 67W compared to the Redmi K70e’s 90W, while retaining the same 5500mAh battery capacity.
The base model, POCO X6, is rumoured to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset and is tipped to include a 64MP primary camera, a 13MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro lens.
While POCO hasn’t officially confirmed the launch date, the presence of the device’s microsite on Flipkart strongly suggests that the January 11th launch date is accurate.
As the official announcement looms, the POCO X6 series is likely going to be a noteworthy addition to India’s vibrant smartphone landscape.
The devices are expected to be in the sub Rs 30,000 price bracket which is already going to see the additions of the Redmi Note 13 series in a few days.
Suffice it to say, that POCO is about to get a lot of competition when it announces its products.

The POCO X6 Series, comprising the POCO X6 5G and X6 Pro 5G, is expected to launch on January 11, 2023, in India, as indicated by a teaser on Flipkart.
The POCO X6 Pro is expected to feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a triple rear camera setup including a 64MP main sensor, and a 5500mAh battery with 67W charging.
The POCO X6 is rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, with a camera setup that includes a 64MP primary sensor, complementing its high-performance profile.
Both models of the POCO X6 Series are expected to be priced competitively in the sub Rs 30,000 range, offering a good mix of features and affordability.
The MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra chipset, debuting in the POCO X6 series in India, is an upgraded version of the Dimensity 8300.
It promises enhanced performance, efficient handling of demanding applications, and has scored impressively on benchmark tests like Antutu.
The POCO X6 Pro 5G is likely to offer a 6.67-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by the Dimensity 8300-Ultra chipset.
It may also feature up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM, 1TB UFS 4.0 storage, a 5500mAh battery with 90W charging, and a 64MP main camera setup.
The BIS certification is a significant indicator that the POCO X6 Pro 5G is set to enter the Indian market. This certification ensures that the device complies with Indian standards and is approved for sale.
While the complete specifications are not officially confirmed, expectations are set high based on the Redmi Note 13 Pro, suggesting a 1.5K AMOLED display, Snapdragon processor, and a 200MP camera setup.
POCO typically adds unique design elements to distinguish its models. The X6 Pro 5G may feature the iconic POCO Yellow and other design tweaks different from the Redmi Note 13 Pro.
While the core specifications may be similar, POCO often incorporates design changes and exclusive features to set its devices apart from their Redmi counterparts.
The IMEI listings show model numbers 2312DRAF3G, 2312DRAF3I, and 23122PCD1G, speculated to be related to upcoming POCO X6 and POCO X6 Pro 5G models.
Kacper Skrzypek has indicated that POCO X6 Pro could very well be the global variant of the recently launched Redmi Note 13 Pro.
