It seems Poco is gearing up to launch a new smartphone in India as the latest teasers on its official website and Flipkart suggest. While the company hasn’t officially confirmed the name, leaks suggest that the upcoming device could be the Poco M7 Plus. If true, this would be a significant upgrade over the Poco M6 Plus. Here’s what we know so far.
A microsite is now live on both Poco India and Flipkart, teasing the smartphone’s launch. The teaser reveals the phone’s black rear panel with a dual-camera setup. The tagline “Power for All” strongly hints at a large battery, possibly a 7,000mAh unit, powering the device.
According to a report by 91Mobiles Hindi, the phone will likely debut in India as the Poco M7 Plus on August 13. Citing internal sources, the report also claims that the phone could be priced under Rs. 15,000.
In terms of specs, the Poco M7 Plus is expected to sport a 6.9-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate, and could be powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset.
Camera duties may include a 50MP primary rear sensor and an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The device is also tipped to feature 33W fast charging support for its massive 7,000mAh battery.
The upcoming M7 Plus is set to bring several improvements over its predecessor, the Poco M6 Plus.
M6 Plus was launched in August last year at a starting price of Rs. 13,499 for the 6GB + 128GB variant. The M6 Plus came with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 AE chipset, up to 8GB RAM and a 6.79-inch FHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
It featured a dual rear camera setup including a 108MP main sensor and a 2MP macro camera. As for the front camera, it comes with a 13-megapixel selfie shooter. The phone has an IP53-rated build and packs a 5,030mAh battery with 33W wired fast charging support.
