Ahead of Google’s event tonight to officially unveil the Pixel 9 series, online leaks confirmed Pixel Buds Pro 2 features.
The latest details shed light on the upcoming Pixel Buds Pro 2, including the introduction of Google’s first Tensor audio chip.
In a post on X (previously known as Twitter), popular tipster Arsène Lupin @MysteryLupin revealed multiple details about the upcoming Buds Pro mode.

One of the most significant upgrades is the new “Tensor A1” chip that will power these earbuds.
This chip promises to deliver “twice the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC),” addressing a common complaint about the original Pixel Buds Pro.
However, it remains unclear what other improvements the Tensor A1 will bring.
The Pixel Buds Pro 2, which has already been leaked before, will come with a fresh design featuring wing tips for added stability.
There will also be some new colour options.
However, rumours about a higher price tag and a possible delayed launch in September remain.
The Pixel Buds Pro 2 will also offer seamless connectivity across your Pixel devices, including phones, tablets, and watches, likely through Fast Pair and its multi-device features.
There are rumours that the battery life might take a slight hit this time.
The earbuds are expected to last 8 hours, and the case will provide an additional 30 hours of battery life.
This is a bit lower than the previous version, which offered 11 hours for the earbuds and 31 hours for the case.
It’s unclear whether this battery life estimate includes ANC being on or off.
Another report reveals certain design details based on a retail source, also quoted by 9T5Google in their recent story.
According to this report, the new design also includes a “twist to adjust” stabilizer wing for a secure fit during workouts or all-day comfort.
Additionally, the Pixel Buds app will now track how loud you’re listening to music and suggest adjustments to help protect your hearing.
