Meta is gearing up to introduce powerful AI video editing tools on Instagram next year marking a major leap for content creators. Earlier this year, the company showcased “Movie Gen” an AI-driven editing tool capable of impressively realistic edits at least based on the sample clips shared. Initially, Meta described it as a research project with no plans for a public release.

Now, it seems the wait might not be long. Instagram head Adam Mosseri recently shared a teaser video hinting at the upcoming feature.

“We’re hoping to bring this to Instagram next year,” Mosseri said while previewing the AI’s seamless editing capabilities.

A post shared by Adam Mosseri (@mosseri)

In the clip released, Mosseri shared his excitement about Meta’s AI advancements. “You should be able to do anything you want with your videos,” he said.

“You should be able to change your outfit, or change the context in which you’re sitting, or add a chain — whatever you can think of,” he added.

The teaser demonstrated these possibilities, with Mosseri’s backdrop and outfit changing multiple times, even briefly transforming him into a Muppet-inspired character. The transitions appeared smooth with no obvious AI glitches though it’s unclear how the tool will perform once it’s widely available.

If it matches the teaser’s quality, it could be game-changing with exciting creative possibilities for Instagram users.

Some tech enthusiasts also believe that the timing of this announcement is interesting as follows closely OpenAI’s release of its video generation model for subscribers. Meta has been vocal about its ambition to make its AI assistant the “most used” worldwide.

In an update shared alongside Mosseri’s video, the company revealed that Meta AI already has “nearly” 600 million monthly users.

Mosseri didn’t provide a specific release date for the Movie Gen features, saying only that it’s coming sometime in 2024. He also promised that “more to come” updates will follow.

With this new tool, Instagram creators can look forward to a game-changing year ahead.

POCO C75 5G – Design and Build Quality

POCO C75 5G – Design and Build Quality

POCO C75 has a very striking design. The first thing you notice is that it is obviously huge for a 6.88-inch display phone.

The pack comes in what the brand calls a “marble flow design.” All the colour variants available are very subtle. But the back design itself makes the phone very eye-catching.

We had the Aqua Bliss colour variant for this review. It’s very striking and has a shimmery appearance that makes it stand out from afar.

The circular camera module blends into the back and doesn’t stick out much. It seems like the module has four lenses but it actually houses only one lens, LED light and lens branding.

The build quality is decent for a phone of this segment. It has an IP52 rating for limited dust ingress.

The overall design language is basic for C75. The phone sports a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top and single speakers at the bottom.

The volume rockers and the power button are on the right-hand side, while the sim/microSD card tray is on the left. The power button also has fingerprint sensors.

POCO C75 5G – Display

POCO C75 5G – Display

The display is a massive 6.88-inch IPS LCD with up to 120Hz refresh rate and 1640×720 resolution.

Considering this is an entry-level smartphone, the specs on paper seem decent enough. While using it, we found it overall good for everyday use.

The visuals appear sharp and the colours look vibrant. The phone can go up to 120Hz refresh rate making the screen smoother. We didn’t experience any specific lags while using the phone.

However, the touch can become unresponsive or hangs if more apps are open. We also experience some hangups with fast touches.

There is a waterdrop notch on the screen that takes up quite a lot of space. Also, the bezels are huge, especially the chin bezels that make even a 6.88-inch display not so massive when you are actually watching visuals on the phone.

It has 600nit for brightness, which means you can really expect a good performance outdoors in sunlight. Also, while using it indoors, we had to keep the brightness levels on max settings.

POCO has certain certifications to make the phone easy on the eyes, including TÜV low blue light certification, TÜV flicker-free certification and TÜV Circadian Friendly.

POCO C75 5G – Performance

POCO C75 has a Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 processor that the brand claims is the segment’s only 4nm Snapgradon 5G processor. That claim, however, comes with a catch because the 5G is only available on the Jio network at the moment. We are hoping this changes with future updates.

Speaking of performance, POCO C75 5G can handle all of your basic everyday tasks smoothly. You can depend on this device for all your calls, internet scrolling and basic streaming.

As for gaming, it can surely handle all normal or less demanding games quite well. We also tried playing some of the graphic-heavy games. While it can surely play such heavy games, we did experience lags and screendrops often making the overall experience underwhelming.

We also tested the phone on some of the most popular benchmark platforms to test where it actually stands. And here are some of the results –

POCO C75 5G – Camera

POCO C75 5G – Camera

POCO C75 comes with a 50MP Sony rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The camera performance is surprisingly well when the frame has good lighting. So, the outdoor day shots come clear and sharp with crisp colour reproduction.

The camera captures colours really well in good lighting. Also, the dynamic range processing is good for a phone in this segment. The 5MP front camera isn’t too powerful but it is capable of getting you some decent shots in a well-lit environment.

It is the night or low-light photography department where POCO C75 really starts to struggle. Night shots we tried to take only came clear when there was powerful artificial light in the scene. Otherwise, the shots were quite noisy with less clarity.

POCO C75 5G – Battery

POCO C75 5G – Battery

POCO C75 5G has levelled up its game in the battery department. The phone comes with a massive 5160mAh battery capacity.

This is perfect for a basic phone of this segment and can easily support more than a day of basic tasks for you.

The 18W fast charging is also decent for the segment. However, POCO is packing a 10W free charger in that box, which means you can only get the 18W charging power if you have a separate charge.

Assuming that you will be using the charger provided in the box, you can expect it to move from under 10% battery to full charge in close to 2 hours. This doesn’t seem so good, but the capacity is good enough and you might not have to charge the phone too often.

Verdict – Should You Buy POCO C75 5G?

Verdict – Should You Buy POCO C75 5G?

POCO C75 is a decent entry-level phone for your everyday tasks. We would say it is a good choice for budget-conscious users.

There are obviously some deal breakers but it completely depends on what you are looking for in a smartphone.

If you are looking for an under 9k 5G device that can support your everyday tasks and looks unique as well, the POCO C75 could be a choice worth considering.

The series introduces a groundbreaking temperature-responsive color-changing technique, allowing the device’s appearance to dynamically shift with changing temperatures. This, combined with a distinctive pearl texture, creates a truly unique and eye-catching visual experience. Further elevating the design is a seamless quad-curved display, offering an immersive viewing experience.

“Through our collaboration with Valeur Designers, the realme 14 Pro Series 5G brings the aesthetics and functionality of realme smartphones to new heights,” said Chase Xu, Vice President and CMO of realme. “We’ve fused cutting-edge tech, like the world’s first cold-sensitive color-changing design, with unique aesthetics to create a smartphone that’s not just functional, but a true expression of personal style. We want to empower young people to dare to leap and showcase their individuality.”

The realme 14 Pro Series 5G debuts an industry-first, advanced thermochromic pigments which react to temperature fluctuations: below 16°C, the back cover shifts from pearl white to vibrant blue, reversing as temperatures rise. Mimicking the transformative hues of deep-sea creatures like jellyfish, this interactive feature captures the ocean’s mystique and adds a delightful “wow” factor to the user experience.

Inspired by the ocean’s wonders, the realme 14 Pro Series 5G introduces the “Unique Pearl Design.”
This exclusive Pearl White variant features a natural, shell-like texture achieved with organic seashell powder, a slim sub-8mm quad-curved profile, and a glamorous, pearl-like luster.
Pearl White version features unique patterns with 30-step craftsmanship process.

The matte finish provides a premium, comfortable grip. Co-created with leading Scandinavian industrial design studio Valeur Designers, renowned for its 29-year collaboration with Bang & Olufsen, the 14 Pro Series redefines premium smartphone design with a touch of timeless Danish craftsmanship.

“Our collaboration with realme on the 14 Pro Series 5G showcases how innovative design can transform the user experience,” said Torsten Valeur, Master Designer and CEO of Valeur Designers. “We’re thrilled to partner with such a forward-thinking and youthful brand to create designs that are both functional and delightful.”

Like nature’s unique seashells, no two Pearl White realme 14 Pro Series 5G back covers are alike. This distinctive, individualized pattern is achieved through a 30-step “fusion fiber” process using 95% eco-friendly, bio-based materials.

Quad-curved display, IP68/IP69 rating, and TUV certified rugged design.

The result is a device as unique as its owner, crafted with sustainable, biodegradable, and energy-efficient materials.

The realme 14 Pro+ 5G raises the bar with a segment-first quad-curved display. This flagship-level screen minimizes bezels for a stunning 93.8% screen-to-body ratio, delivering the most seamless display experience on a realme smartphone and enhancing edge swiping for intuitive navigation.

Further, realme continues to push the boundaries of mobile photography with the introduction of the “Ocean Oculus” triple-camera system, featuring polished Deco and the industry-first “MagicGlow” Triple Flash.

0

Highlights

  • One report suggests a horizontal design, while the other claims triangular.
  • Rumours also differ on whether the iPhone 17 Pro will use aluminium or titanium frames.
image

A lot of the buzz surrounding upcoming tech launches is generated by leaks and rumours circulating online. Most of the time we get to know more about the upcoming smartphones from leakers than official brand sources. It happens with Apple all the time. However, sometimes more leaks can cause more confusion about what exactly to expect. Currently, this is what seems to be happening with the iPhone 17 Pro.

Two prominent leakers have shared different reports about the camera layout design of the iPhone 17 Pro. One suggests a bold shift to a horizontal layout, while the other claims the familiar triangular arrangement will remain intact.

Here’s a quick recap of all that we have been hearing.

iPhone 17 Camera Layout – Triangular Or horizontal?

Weibo user Digital Chat Station is known for accurate leaks about past iPhone features. The tipster recently shared a render of a horizontal camera bar with three lenses arranged side-by-side.

image
DCS’s post on iPhone 17 Series camera layout. (Translated via Google Translate)

The module’s shape was likened to the Dynamic Island with rounded edges. Digital Chat Station stated that the iPhone 17 Pro “has indeed been changed to this design.” The leaker has a solid track record having correctly predicted the telephoto lens on the iPhone 16 Pro and the larger main camera sensor in this year’s models.

However, contradicting the report is another reliable source named Instant Digital, who previously leaked details like the yellow iPhone 14 and the landscape front-facing camera on the iPad Air.

image
Instant Digital’s post on iPhone 17 Series camera layout. (Translated via Google Translate)

According to Instant Digital, while the back design may change, “the layout of the three cameras is still triangular, not the horizontal bar spread on the Internet now.”

Instant Digital didn’t elaborate on what changes might come to the camera module but insisted the horizontal design isn’t happening.

As noted by GSMArena, these types of contradictory reports are common at this stage and currently fans should take it all as speculation.

Digital Chat Station’s rumour aligns with past accurate predictions but their track record is mixed including leaks about the Apple Watch Series 9 and M4 iPad Pros. Similarly, Instant Digital’s history includes hits like the frosted back glass on the iPhone 15 series but also misses.

Moreover, camera layout isn’t the only point of contention.

Some rumours last month suggested the iPhone 17 Pro series would revert to aluminium frames. However, newer leaks claim that titanium frames introduced with the iPhone 15 Pro will continue.

So, as we said, every report at this point should be considered speculation.

FAQs

Q1. What are the conflicting reports about the iPhone 17 Pro’s camera layout?

Answer. One report suggests a horizontal camera layout with three lenses arranged side-by-side, while another report claims the familiar triangular arrangement will remain intact.

Q2. Which leakers shared the different reports about the iPhone 17 Pro’s camera layout?

Answer. The horizontal camera layout was shared by Weibo user Digital Chat Station, while the triangular layout report came from Instant Digital.

Q3. What other design changes are being speculated for the iPhone 17 Pro series?

Answer. There are conflicting rumours about whether the iPhone 17 Pro series will use aluminium or titanium frames.
