(realme and Valeur Designers collaborate on the design of the realme 14 Pro Series 5G.)
realme today announced the launch of its highly anticipated realme 14 Pro Series 5G, pushing the boundaries of smartphone innovation with the world’s first cold-sensitive color-changing technology.
Co-created with renowned Nordic industrial design studio Valeur Designers, the realme 14 Pro Series 5G embodies a perfect blend of cutting-edge technology and premium aesthetics.
The series introduces a groundbreaking temperature-responsive color-changing technique, allowing the device’s appearance to dynamically shift with changing temperatures. This, combined with a distinctive pearl texture, creates a truly unique and eye-catching visual experience. Further elevating the design is a seamless quad-curved display, offering an immersive viewing experience.
“Through our collaboration with Valeur Designers, the realme 14 Pro Series 5G brings the aesthetics and functionality of realme smartphones to new heights,” said Chase Xu, Vice President and CMO of realme. “We’ve fused cutting-edge tech, like the world’s first cold-sensitive color-changing design, with unique aesthetics to create a smartphone that’s not just functional, but a true expression of personal style. We want to empower young people to dare to leap and showcase their individuality.”
The realme 14 Pro Series 5G debuts an industry-first, advanced thermochromic pigments which react to temperature fluctuations: below 16°C, the back cover shifts from pearl white to vibrant blue, reversing as temperatures rise. Mimicking the transformative hues of deep-sea creatures like jellyfish, this interactive feature captures the ocean’s mystique and adds a delightful “wow” factor to the user experience.
Collaboration with Valeur Designers for unique color-changing panel design.
Inspired by the ocean’s wonders, the realme 14 Pro Series 5G introduces the “Unique Pearl Design.”
This exclusive Pearl White variant features a natural, shell-like texture achieved with organic seashell powder, a slim sub-8mm quad-curved profile, and a glamorous, pearl-like luster.
Pearl White version features unique patterns with 30-step craftsmanship process.
The matte finish provides a premium, comfortable grip. Co-created with leading Scandinavian industrial design studio Valeur Designers, renowned for its 29-year collaboration with Bang & Olufsen, the 14 Pro Series redefines premium smartphone design with a touch of timeless Danish craftsmanship.
“Our collaboration with realme on the 14 Pro Series 5G showcases how innovative design can transform the user experience,” said Torsten Valeur, Master Designer and CEO of Valeur Designers. “We’re thrilled to partner with such a forward-thinking and youthful brand to create designs that are both functional and delightful.”
Like nature’s unique seashells, no two Pearl White realme 14 Pro Series 5G back covers are alike. This distinctive, individualized pattern is achieved through a 30-step “fusion fiber” process using 95% eco-friendly, bio-based materials.
Quad-curved display, IP68/IP69 rating, and TUV certified rugged design.
The result is a device as unique as its owner, crafted with sustainable, biodegradable, and energy-efficient materials.
The realme 14 Pro+ 5G raises the bar with a segment-first quad-curved display. This flagship-level screen minimizes bezels for a stunning 93.8% screen-to-body ratio, delivering the most seamless display experience on a realme smartphone and enhancing edge swiping for intuitive navigation.
Further, realme continues to push the boundaries of mobile photography with the introduction of the “Ocean Oculus” triple-camera system, featuring polished Deco and the industry-first “MagicGlow” Triple Flash.
This innovative flash technology automatically restores natural skin tones in low-light conditions, ensuring vibrant and true-to-life night portraits.
Durability is also a key feature of the 14 Pro Series 5G. With IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications, the device is engineered to withstand dust, water immersion (up to 1.5 meters for an hour), and high-pressure jets. TÜV Rheinland certification further reinforces its rugged design, providing peace of mind against accidental drops and splashes.

Two leakers have shared conflicting reports about the iPhone 17 Pro’s camera layout.
One report suggests a horizontal design, while the other claims triangular.
Rumours also differ on whether the iPhone 17 Pro will use aluminium or titanium frames.
DCS shared an iPhone 17 series render with a horizontal camera bar having three lenses arranged side-by-side. (Image credit – DCS on Weibo)
A lot of the buzz surrounding upcoming tech launches is generated by leaks and rumours circulating online. Most of the time we get to know more about the upcoming smartphones from leakers than official brand sources. It happens with Apple all the time. However, sometimes more leaks can cause more confusion about what exactly to expect. Currently, this is what seems to be happening with the iPhone 17 Pro.
Two prominent leakers have shared different reports about the camera layout design of the iPhone 17 Pro. One suggests a bold shift to a horizontal layout, while the other claims the familiar triangular arrangement will remain intact.
Here’s a quick recap of all that we have been hearing.
iPhone 17 Camera Layout – Triangular Or horizontal?
Weibo user Digital Chat Station is known for accurate leaks about past iPhone features. The tipster recently shared a render of a horizontal camera bar with three lenses arranged side-by-side.
DCS’s post on iPhone 17 Series camera layout. (Translated via Google Translate)
The module’s shape was likened to the Dynamic Island with rounded edges. Digital Chat Station stated that the iPhone 17 Pro “has indeed been changed to this design.” The leaker has a solid track record having correctly predicted the telephoto lens on the iPhone 16 Pro and the larger main camera sensor in this year’s models.
However, contradicting the report is another reliable source named Instant Digital, who previously leaked details like the yellow iPhone 14 and the landscape front-facing camera on the iPad Air.
Instant Digital’s post on iPhone 17 Series camera layout. (Translated via Google Translate)
According to Instant Digital, while the back design may change, “the layout of the three cameras is still triangular, not the horizontal bar spread on the Internet now.”
Instant Digital didn’t elaborate on what changes might come to the camera module but insisted the horizontal design isn’t happening.
As noted by GSMArena, these types of contradictory reports are common at this stage and currently fans should take it all as speculation.
Digital Chat Station’s rumour aligns with past accurate predictions but their track record is mixed including leaks about the Apple Watch Series 9 and M4 iPad Pros. Similarly, Instant Digital’s history includes hits like the frosted back glass on the iPhone 15 series but also misses.
Moreover, camera layout isn’t the only point of contention.
Some rumours last month suggested the iPhone 17 Pro series would revert to aluminium frames. However, newer leaks claim that titanium frames introduced with the iPhone 15 Pro will continue.
So, as we said, every report at this point should be considered speculation.

Stealing memes, videos and content from another account purely for engagement farming is considered evil in social media work. Still, you will see many accounts regularly to it to get some easy engagement on their accounts. Meta’s Threads is trying to fight this with its new feature that will make using media from other accounts easy.
Threads has announced a new feature called “Use media” making it easier for users to reshare photos and videos on the platform.
So, instead of quote-posting and adding commentary, users can now directly reshare an image or video while adding their own text. Importantly, the original creator will still be credited with their name displayed in the top-left corner of the post.
The announcement came from Instagram head Adam Mosseri as he shared on his Threads account a post that the feature offers a “quick, easy way to add your creative takes to trending images.” Later, Threads official account also posted explaining the new feature.

To use the feature, you can either long-press on any photo or video posted on Threads or tap the repost button. The option will appear in a pop-up menu below “Repost” and “Quote.” If the feature hasn’t appeared for you yet, it’s expected to roll out soon.
Mosseri also encouraged users to share their feedback about the new feature.

However, not everyone is thrilled about the change. Some creators voiced concerns in response to Mosseri’s post, saying they prefer to limit how their content is reshared. They worry that others could use this feature to gain engagement and attention from their work without contributing any effort.
Threads addressed these concerns by explaining that users can disable media reuse through the app’s settings. Additionally, quote-post controls allow creators to decide who can reuse the media they share.
As we mentioned in the beginning, this new feature is part of Threads’ broader effortsto tackle stolen memes and engagement farming while fostering creativity among its users.

Apple has scrapped the plans for hardware subscription service.
The idea was to allow users to upgrade iPhones through a monthly subscription model.

How many of you remember Apple’s plan to make iPhone purchase a subscription-like? Well, it’s good in case you don’t remember since it appears Apple has scrapped its plans. We are talking about the “hardware subscription service” that would have made upgrading to a new iPhone as easy as subscribing to an app.
According to a recent Bloomberg report, the project was “recently wound down” after facing multiple delays. It was initially set to launch in late 2022 and later the service was pushed back to 2023 due to software challenges and regulatory issues.
The report explains, “It would work like this: Instead of paying for an iPhone outright or signing up for an installment plan, customers would have a monthly fee billed to the same Apple account they use for downloading apps and subscribing to services. They’d then be able to swap out their iPhone for a new model each year.”
“Like the now-defunct Apple Pay Later program, the hardware subscription would use an in-house financial infrastructure and be based on loans provided by the company itself. Early this year, Apple deployed the iPhone subscription service as a test for employees within its Pay group. Teams working on App Store billing and the online store were also involved,” it also added.
However, the company has since decided to shelve the initiative.
This decision comes the same year Apple ended its Apple Pay Later program, which allowed customers to finance purchases made with Apple Pay in four equal payments over six weeks, interest-free.
Apple has now shifted to offering third-party financing options such as Affirm and Klarna supported in iOS 18.
The company continues to provide the iPhone Upgrade Program for those looking for flexible payment options. This program supported by Citizens Bank splits iPhone payments into two-year installments and allows upgrades after one year.
Moreover, customers can also opt for Apple Card Monthly Installments to finance their purchases.

Tech companies are facing a two-front war when it comes to the artificial intelligence boom. First, they have to ensure integration of the tech and second, combating the potential misuse of the tech. AI-generated videos are one aspect where most platforms are putting maximum effort.
YouTube has recently teamed up with the Creative Artists Agency (CAA) to support celebrities, athletes and creators in identifying content that uses their AI-generated likeness. According to TechCrunch reports, the platform will test a tool that allows professionals to request the removal of such content starting early next year.
At first, the tool will be available to “leading celebrity talent including award-winning actors and top athletes from the NBA and NFL.” However, as per the report, it will roll out to “top YouTube creators, creative professionals, and other leading partners representing talent” later.
In the press note announcing the collaboration with CAA, YouTube CEO Neal Mohan said, “At YouTube, we believe that a responsible approach to AI starts with strong partnerships. We’re excited to collaborate with CAA, an organization that shares our commitment to empowering artists and creators. In another effort to improve user experience, YouTube has announced a crackdown against clickbait titles and thumbnails.Misleading titles like “BREAKING NEWS” that don’t match the actual content have been an old issue with YouTube.
The crackdown will begin in India with YouTube removing such videos without penalising creators at first. The platform had earlier introduced a program where creators could take an educational course to erase warnings from their channels.
“We’re strengthening our efforts to tackle egregious clickbait on YouTube. This means we’re planning to increase our enforcement against videos where the title or thumbnail promises viewers something that the video doesn’t deliver,” YouTube shared in a Google India blog post.
“This can leave viewers feeling tricked, frustrated, or even misled—particularly in moments when they come to YouTube in search of important or timely information,” the statement added.
However, YouTube hasn’t clarified how it will define news or current events. The company also hasn’t explained how it plans to detect mismatches between titles, thumbnails and video content.
