The new Honor X70 is a budget smartphone with serious power and ruggedness. It features a 6.79-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 6000 nits. Under the hood, it runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chip, paired with up to 12GB of RAM.

What really stands out is its massive 8300mAh silicon-carbon battery, offering six years of durability. It’s only the second phone ever to cross the 8000mAh mark, following Honor’s own Power series. Despite the huge battery, the phone weighs under 200 grams and stays under 8mm thick.

It supports 80W wired charging and even 80W wireless superfast charging, but only on the 512GB variant, making it a first in its segment.

The Honor X70 is also tough as nails. It’s the first phone to feature IP69K certification, meaning it can survive high-pressure water jets and even boiling water. It also comes with AI rainstorm touch and AI glove touch, so it remains usable in tough conditions.

They use Bluetooth 5.3, and users with Honor phones get fast pairing with a pop-up window and cloud-synced pairing records for easy switching.

iPhone 17 Air Alone to Get Titanium Frame And Not Pro Models, A New A19 Chip Is On Its Way

0

Highlights

  • iPhone 17 Air will be the only model with a titanium-aluminium alloy frame, while Pro models reportedly revert to lighter aluminium instead of titanium.
  • A19 chip debut confirmed for the iPhone 17 lineup.
  • iPhone 17 Air, Pro, and Pro Max are getting 12GB RAM while the regular model retains 8GB.

Apple introduced a titanium build for the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max about two years ago. The material continued to set the Pro lineup apart with the iPhone 16 series. But this year, things are changing in a surprising way. According to reports, only one iPhone 17 model will come with a titanium build and it’s not a Pro. Here’s everything we know so far.

iPhone 17 Air Will Be the Only Model with Titanium

image

Previous early leaks about the iPhone 17 lineup hinted at some major shifts in materials. According to The Information, Apple is planning to drop titanium from the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models. Instead, these high-end phones will reportedly go back to aluminium frames, just a couple of years after the titanium debut.

But analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says titanium isn’t gone for good. He claims the upcoming iPhone 17 Air will be the only model to feature titanium. Specifically, Kuo notes it will use a titanium-aluminium alloy metal frame, with a lower percentage of titanium than the current Pro and Pro Max metal frames.”

So, it’s a hybrid frame, but still the only one in the lineup using any titanium at all.

Caption – iPhone 17 series previously leaked image of dummy units.

Industry analyst Jeff Pu also confirmed this in his latest research, backing up the claim that titanium is coming to the iPhone 17 Air.

What’s surprising is that Apple has always pushed titanium as a ‘Pro’ feature, something exclusive and premium. Yet now, it’s appearing in the iPhone 17 Air, which is expected to be a more affordable and lightweight model.

If Apple were going back to stainless steel for the Pro models, titanium on the Air could be explained as a way to save weight. But since the Pro models are supposedly switching to aluminium, which is a material that’s even lighter than titanium, this decision doesn’t quite add up.

iPhone 17 to Run on New A19 Chip

Meanwhile, we also have an update on the possible chip iPhone 17 will be working with. Earlier rumours suggested the iPhone 17 would use the same A18 chip as the iPhone 16. But analyst Jeff Pu now expects Apple to introduce a brand-new A19 chip, which will also power the iPhone 17 Air.

However, not everything is changing. If you were hoping for more RAM on the standard iPhone 17, that’s likely not happening. Pu says it will stick with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM. In contrast, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are expected to get a boost with 12GB of faster LPDDR5X RAM. The 17 Air will also have 12GB of RAM but with the standard LPDDR5 speeds.

The entire iPhone 17 lineup is rumoured to include Apple’s own Wi-Fi 7 chip. The regular iPhone 17 might also get a larger 6.3-inch OLED screen and finally, a 120Hz refresh rate. However, unlike the Pro models, it won’t use LTPO (ProMotion) tech.

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 17 series on September 8, if the latest leaks are accurate.

FAQs

Q1. Which iPhone 17 model will feature a titanium frame?

Answer. Only the iPhone 17 Air is expected to feature a titanium-aluminium alloy metal frame, while the Pro and Pro Max models will reportedly switch to aluminium.

Q2. What chipset will power the iPhone 17 series?

Answer. Analyst Jeff Pu expects Apple to introduce a new A19 chip for the iPhone 17 lineup, replacing earlier predictions of the A18 being reused from the iPhone 16.

Q3. What RAM configuration will the iPhone 17 models offer?

Answer. The standard iPhone 17 will retain 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, while the iPhone 17 Pro, Pro Max, and Air will have 12GB of RAM, Air with LPDDR5 and Pro models with LPDDR5X.

Vivo X300 Leak Reveals Camera, Design and Big Upgrades Details Ahead of Launch

  • Vivo X300 to feature triple camera setup with a 200MP main sensor, 50MP ultra-wide and 50MP 3x zoom telephoto lens.
  • It will reportedly include a 6.3″ display, full waterproofing, wireless charging and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
  • The phone is expected to launch in China by September.

Vivo’s upcoming X300 series has started appearing in rumours and leaks ahead of its official launch. A fresh leak from trusted tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo revealed early camera and design details of what seems to be Vivo’s next imaging-focused flagship. Here’s a quick roundup of what we know.

Vivo X300 – Camera Specs Leaked

image
DCS’s post on Weibo. (Image credit – Gizmochina)

According to the leak, the new Vivo flagship will feature a 200MP 1/1.4-inch main camera, paired with a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP IMX882 telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Vivo is also said to be working on a new prism-based optical stabilisation system, which could help improve focusing and reduce blur in tricky lighting.

This camera setup suggests that Vivo is continuing to push boundaries in mobile photography, something it’s already known for in the flagship space.

Vivo X300 – Compact Size, Premium Features

The Vivo X300 is also expected to come with a 6.3-inch display, making it one of the smallest Vivo flagships in recent years. Despite its compact size, the phone isn’t skimping on premium features. The leak suggests it will include –

  • Full waterproofing
  • Wireless charging
  • Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner

All of this makes it clear that the X300 is being positioned as a top-tier device, just in a smaller body.

The Vivo X300 is expected to launch in China as early as September, and if the leaks are accurate, it could bring major upgrades over its predecessor, the X200.

image
Vivo X200. (Image credit – Vivo)

The Vivo X200 was launched in October last year and had a 6.67-inch curved display, a 50MP VCS main camera, and a 5800mAh battery with 90W fast charging. The shift to a 200MP main sensor alone shows how seriously Vivo is stepping up its camera game.

Vivo Shifting to 200MP Main Sensors

In a separate leak, Digital Chat Station also mentioned that Vivo is now bringing the 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP9 sensor to the main camera in its new flagships. Previously, the brand used 200MP sensors for periscope cameras in models like the X100 Ultra and X200 Pro.

The HP9 sensor supports 8K at 30fps, 4K at 120fps, and uses Tetrapixel technology to adjust pixel size depending on lighting conditions. This move could influence other brands to switch to ultra-high-resolution sensors in their future flagships too.

FAQs

Q1. What camera setup is expected in the Vivo X300?

Answer. It’s said to feature a 200MP 1/1.4-inch main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP IMX882 telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, plus new prism-based stabilisation.

Answer. The phone is tipped to come with full waterproofing, wireless charging, and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, all packed into a 6.3-inch display chassis.

Q3. When is the Vivo X300 expected to launch and what major upgrade does it offer?

Redmi Turbo 5 Leak Hints at Metal Frame, Big Battery, Expected to Enter Global Market as Poco X8 Pro

0

While the Turbo 5 series is expected to launch in China only, Xiaomi may rebrand the phones for global markets. The Redmi Turbo 5 could be launched internationally as the Poco X8 Pro, while the higher-end Turbo 5 Pro might arrive globally as the Poco F8.

Redmi Turbo 5 – What to Expect?

According to the leak, the Redmi Turbo 5 is currently being tested with a 6.6-inch display offering a 1.5K resolution. The screen will reportedly feature a “large R-angle,” a design choice that gives the display gently rounded corners to improve grip and comfort.

While it’s slightly smaller than the 6.67-inch panel on the Turbo 4, the ergonomic upgrades could make it feel better in hand.

One major change might be in the build quality. The Turbo 5 could come with a metal middle frame, replacing the plastic used in its predecessor. This would give the phone a more premium and sturdy feel, something that’s not common in the mid-range category.

Battery design is also a big focus. The previous Turbo 4 packed a large 6,550mAh battery with 90W fast charging. The Turbo 5 is expected to keep a large battery but with a thinner form factor, showing Xiaomi’s efforts to strike a balance between power and portability.

Turbo 5 Pro – Bigger Battery, Later Launch

The Redmi Turbo 5 Pro, on the other hand, is tipped to feature a massive 8,000mAh+ battery, making it ideal for power users or gamers who need all-day battery life and then some.

In terms of launch timeline, the Redmi Turbo 5 is expected to debut in early 2026, while the Turbo 5 Pro may launch sometime in Q2 2026. Global versions under the Poco brand could follow shortly after.

The leak comes from YTECHB, which reveals that the special Razr will have a crystal-embedded body. Leaked renders show off a fabric-like back panel with several small crystals placed neatly across the surface. Near the hinge and external display, you can also spot three larger stones, adding even more sparkle to the design.

The overall look gives the phone a designer accessory vibe less like a typical gadget and more like a fashion statement. Motorola clearly seems to be targeting users who love luxury and style.

Launch Date and Specs

While Motorola hasn’t officially confirmed anything yet, popular tipster Evan Blass on X (formerly Twitter) has claimed that the Motorola x Swarovski Razr could be announced on August 5, 2025.

It’s important to note that this Swarovski Edition is based on the standard Razr 2025 model, not the more premium Razr Ultra. That means the hardware and specs should remain the same as the regular Razr 2025, only the design is getting a luxury makeover.

The leak comes shortly after Motorola launched the Moto G96 in India, showing that the company is keeping busy across both premium and budget segments.

Four Upcoming Android Flagship Designs Leaked, Likely Oppo Find X9, Vivo X300, Honor Magic 8 and Xiaomi 16 Pro

0

Highlights

  • Four flagship designs leak showcase unique rear camera layouts likely for Oppo Find X9, Vivo X300, Honor Magic 8 Pro and Xiaomi 16 Pro.
  • Camera innovations include upgraded sensors like the 50MP OV50Q, Sony LYT828, and possibly Samsung’s 200MP HP5 and 50MP GN8 for telephoto capabilities.
  • Launch expected post Snapdragon Summit on Sept 23 alongside MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 reveal.

The tech rumour mill when it comes to smartphones is always active. There are time when we have leakers giving up updates on devices that are still years away. Something like this recently happened when one of the most popular smartphone tipsters actives on the Chinese app Weibo shared something mysterious.

Upcoming Android Flagship – Design Leaked

image

A new leak from popular tipster Digital Chat Station has given us an early glimpse at the design of some upcoming Android flagships. The schematic he shared shows the back panel layout of four different phones, each with a unique camera setup.

While the tipster didn’t name which sketch belongs to which phone, previous leaks and design cues help us make some solid guesses.

image

Caption – Leaked upcoming Android flagship design. (Image credit – Digital Chat Station on Weibo)

Guess the Phones?

The phone on the top left is most likely part of the Oppo Find X9 series. Unlike the circular module seen on the Find X8, this one features a square-shaped camera bump placed on the left. This matches earlier rumours that said the Find X9 would move away from the round camera design.

Over on the top right, we’re likely looking at the Vivo X300. It keeps the signature circular camera island similar to the Vivo X200 series, suggesting Vivo is sticking to its tried-and-tested design.

The bottom left design appears to be the Honor Magic 8 Pro, which seems to continue with the hexagon-shaped camera layout we’ve seen before.

But the biggest design shift is probably happening with the Xiaomi 16 Pro, seen in the bottom right. The schematic shows a wide horizontal camera deco that stretches across the entire top of the phone, just like past leaks have suggested. Interestingly, this design is also similar to the one rumoured for the iPhone 17.

All four models are expected to feature flat screens this year with noticeable curved corners on the display side as shown in the sketches.

Possible Camera Sensor Upgrades

image

Caption – Digital Chat Station’s Weibo Post. (Translated via Google Translate)

The tipster also shared some info about the camera sensors we might see in these devices. Flagships launching between September and October could come equipped with powerful sensors like:

  • 50MP OV50Q
  • Sony’s LYT828
  • A mystery sensor called “590”

For telephoto zoom, brands might go with Samsung’s 200MP HP5 or the 50MP GN8.

Flagship Launches Coming Soon

These upcoming Android phones are expected to launch shortly after Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit, scheduled for September 23, where the new Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip will be announced.

MediaTek is also likely to unveil the Dimensity 9500 around the same time, setting the stage for a wave of flagship releases from top Chinese brands.

Answer. Based on design cues and past leaks, the sketches likely represent the Oppo Find X9, Vivo X300, Honor Magic 8 Pro, and Xiaomi 16 Pro.

Q2. What camera sensor upgrades are expected in these upcoming flagship phones?

Answer. Flagships launching between September and October may include sensors like the 50MP OV50Q, Sony’s LYT828, and Samsung’s 200MP HP5 or the 50MP GN8 for telephoto.

The company is also importing components from China for this process. Interestingly, 90% of these parts are meant for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 16 models, while only 10% are for the new iPhone 17, confirming that production is still in its trial phase.

The report says, “Foxconn has started importing components from China to India for assembling the upcoming iPhone 17, showed customs data seen by ET. The components imported so far could be meant for trial production, according to industry experts […] Various components and sub-assemblies such as the display assembly, cover glass, mechanical housing and integrated rear camera modules began arriving in India last month, as per the customs data.”

Sources say Foxconn has begun the process this month, hinting that mass production could begin as early as August. This also aligns with Apple’s push to boost device availability ahead of the Indian festive season. Expect to see special deals and promotions to drive sales in August.

There’s also talk of a new Foxconn plant coming up in Oragadam, Tamil Nadu, while the current Bengaluru facility will focus on producing the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16e models. Meanwhile, a spring 2026 debut is expected for the iPhone 17e, and hands-on images of the iPhone 17 Pro have already started surfacing online.

Meanwhile, several reports suggest that the Chinese government is not pleased with the development. And one way it is trying to disrupt the process is by making it different for Chinese engineers to stay in India.

Bloomberg recently reported on recall of Chinese engineers from India and said, “The bulk of Foxconn’s Chinese staff at iPhone plants in southern India have been told to fly back in a move that began about two months ago, people familiar with the matter said, asking not to be named as the information is private. More than 300 Chinese workers have left, and mostly support staff from Taiwan remain in India, one of the people said.”

iPhone 17 Launch Timeline – What to Expect?

Apple’s new iPhones usually follow a predictable schedule, and the iPhone 17 series looks no different. Based on previous launches, the upcoming lineup of iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max should be unveiled the week of September 8, 2025.

Apple prefers to announce its new iPhones on a Tuesday, but occasionally opts for a Monday to avoid conflicts such as major U.S. events.

Here’s a quick look at recent iPhone announcements –

  • 2024 – Monday, September 9
  • 2023 – Tuesday, September 12
  • 2022 – Wednesday, September 7
  • 2021 – Tuesday, September 14

Given this pattern, Apple will likely announce the iPhone 17 on Monday, September 8 or Tuesday, September 9, 2025.

Expected Release Date – September 19, 2025

While the announcement date may vary slightly, Apple is very consistent with its release dates. New iPhones always hit shelves on the Friday of the following week after the reveal. This pattern has held steady in previous years –

  • 2024 (iPhone 16) – Pre-orders on September 13, released on September 20
  • 2023 (iPhone 15) – Pre-orders on September 15, released on September 22
  • 2022 (iPhone 14) – Pre-orders on September 9, released on September 16

So, now we’re expecting –

  • Pre-orders to start on Friday, September 12
  • Official release on Friday, September 19

To sum it up, here’s what we can expect for the iPhone 17 series launch –

  • Announcement – Week of September 8, 2025
  • Pre-orders – Friday, September 12, 2025
  • Release – Friday, September 19, 2025

The Vivo X Fold5 has officially launched in India as the company’s latest foldable smartphone.  While it keeps the same chipset as last year’s X Fold3 Pro, Vivo has improved the design to make it lighter, thinner and more durable than ever. One of its biggest highlights is the massive 6,000mAh battery, which is the largest ever in an Indian foldable. Here’s all you need to know.

Vivo X Fold5 – Comparison with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7

The X Fold5 will be directly competing with the recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, which starts at Rs 1,74,999.

While both phones feature a book-style folding design, the Vivo X Fold5 sets itself apart with its circular camera module and dimensions. It is 4.3mm in thickness and 217g in weight, which is slightly heavier than Samsung’s latest. Z Fold7 is touted as the “thinnest, lightest, and most advanced foldable yet.”

The phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is now one generation old but still delivers solid performance. It runs Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15 and includes a host of AI tools like AI Captions that converts audio to text during meetings and Origin Workbench to let users run up to five apps at once.
