Oppo has added two new models to its Reno 13 series just days after the Reno 13 and Reno 13 Pro debuted in India.
These new phones the Reno 13 F 5G and Reno 13 F 4G are nearly identical except for their chipsets and a few hardware differences. Here’s everything we know about the devices.
The Reno 13 F 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, paired with 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and faster UFS 3.1 storage options (128GB, 256GB or 512GB).
The Reno13 F 4G, on the other hand, uses the Helio G100 chipset with 8GB of RAM and offers UFS 2.2 storage in 256GB or 512GB configurations.
Both models include a microSD slot for expandable storage.
The two phones feature identical 6.67-inch OLED displays with a 1080p+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. These displays deliver vibrant colours with 100% sRGB and DCI-P3 coverage and can reach a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. They are protected by Dragontrail Star 2 glass.
In terms of durability, both phones have an impressive IP6X (dust-tight), IPX6, IPX8 and IPX9 rating. This means they can withstand up to 2 meters underwater for 30 minutes and even resist hot water jets at 80°C. Moreover, their interiors are designed to absorb impacts from drops.
Both models of the Reno 13 F Series come with a triple camera setup. The camera details are as follows –
For selfies, there’s a 32MP front camera (f/2.4, 82°). The 5G model’s more powerful chipset allows for 4K at 30fps video recording, while the 4G version is limited to 1080p video.
Both phones pack large 5,800mAh batteries that can last over 14 hours of light gaming and retain 80% battery health after four years of use. They support 45W SuperVOOC Flash Charge taking the battery from 1% to 44% in just 30 minutes.
The Reno13 F series will be available in Plume Purple, Graphite Gray, Skyline Blue and Luminous Blue.
The phones will first launch in the Asia-Pacific region with exact dates and pricing yet to be announced. A wider rollout will follow, but details remain under wraps for now.
