Oppo Reno 8 series storage and colour options tipped ahead of its India launch

Oppo is gearing up for its latest Reno 8 series launch globally. The series is expected to feature three stunning smartphones- Oppo Reno 8, Oppo Reno 8+ and Oppo Reno 8 Pro. The specifications for the Pro model have surfaced before and now there’s some latest news about the upcoming series.

Oppo has confirmed that we will have at least two of the Reno 8 series models here in India. It has also revealed that the two models will hit the Indian shores on July 18, 2022. Now, a reliable tipster has confirmed the gorgeous colours and storage on board that these will offer. Here’s all that we know!

Oppo Reno 8 Pro: Price, storage, and colour options tipped

The Reno series is the most popular and premium series from the Chinese Tech Giant. We already have an idea of the expected specs that we will witness with this upcoming series and there’s some more information surfaced now. The tipster, Mukul Sharma has revealed that the Oppo Reno 8 Pro will feature three storage options: 8GB RAM with 128GB, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, and finally 12GB RAM with 256GB storage on board.

Along with the storage leak, we also have the colour information available for this upcoming series. The Reno 8 will feature two shimmery colour options- Shimmer Gold and Shimmer Black. Furthermore, the base model, Reno 8, is expected to start at Rs 30,000. While, on the other hand, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro will be available in two gorgeous colours: Glazed Black and Glazed Green. The smartphone is expected to start at Rs 45,000. Just to give a little background, the Reno Series are the camera-focused flagship launches from Oppo. These are known for their premium displays and throw-away camera quality.

The phone sports a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The Oppo Reno 8 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The smartphone packs a 4,500 mAh battery and comes with 80W fast-charging support.

In terms of optics, the Reno 8 gets a triple-camera setup on the back with a 50 MP primary sensor, a 2 MP depth sensor, and a 2 MP macro unit. The phone also opts for a 32 MP selfie camera.

The smartphone sports a 6.62-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. The Oppo Reno 8 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The handset packs a 4,500 mAh battery and comes with 80W fast-charging support.

The Reno 8 Pro houses a triple-camera setup on the back with a 50 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide shooter, and a 2 MP macro unit. The phone also opts for a 32 MP selfie camera.

The Oppo Reno 8 Pro runs Android 12-based on ColorOS.
