Oppo Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro confirmed to be launched on July 18

Oppo has finally confirmed the launch of its Reno 8 series in India. According to the latest update, Oppo Reno 8, Oppo Reno 8+ and Oppo Reno 8 Pro under the Reno 8 series will be launched in India on July 18. The launch event will be streamed on the company’s website as well as social media and YouTube channels at 6 pm.

The brand has also confirmed that it will introduce at least two of the Reno 8 series models to India.

Oppo has confirmed that it will have Oppo Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro in India. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has officially confirmed the launch date of Reno series in India.

The smartphone maker launched Oppo Reno 8, Oppo Reno 8 Pro, and Oppo Reno 8 Pro Plus in its home market China. On the other hand, Indian market will get only two models the Oppo Reno 8 and Oppo Reno 8 Pro. It is expected that the Reno 8 Pro will be the rebranded version of the Reno 8 Pro Plus for the Indian maker.

Launched as the successor of the Reno 7 series, the smartphone maker has introduced notable improvements with regards to design and specifications of the Reno 8 series phones.

Oppo Reno 8 specifications

Packed with a 6.43-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout, the Oppo Reno 8 comes is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1300 processor paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

The Reno series is expected to be launched in three variants 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. Backed by a 4500mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging, the smartphone runs on Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1 skin out of the box.

Talking about the camera, the upcoming Reno series will have a MariSilicon X chip and a triple camera system at the back. The camera set up will consist of a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel B&W sensor and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. The phone is equipped with a 32-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and videos.

Oppo Reno 8 Pro specifications

Oppo Reno 8 Pro, the rebranded version of Oppo Reno 8 Pro Plus will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max processor coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1 skin, a 4,500mAh battery, 80W fast charging, a MariSilicon X-powered triple rear camera setup and a 32-megapixel front camera.

Oppo Reno 8 series expected price in India 

The company is yet to announce anything related to the price of the upcoming Reno series smartphones. However, recent leaks have claimed that the Reno 8 series will be launched at initial price of Rs 29,990 and go up to Rs 33,990. The Reno 8 Pro is expected to be priced under high price bracket.  It is expected to be available at Rs 42,900.  Smartphones will be available for sale on Flipkart and there will be bank offers as well.
