OPPO Reno 17 Series Gets First Official Teaser
OPPO has started preparing for its next launch event in China with the Reno 17 series scheduled to debut. Zhang Ruoxing, the OPPO Reno series spokesperson, has confirmed that the company will unveil the new smartphone lineup in November.
The launch event will also see the arrival of the OPPO Pad Air 6 tablet and Watch 5 smartwatch.

Meanwhile, reservations for the Reno 17 series have already opened in China suggesting that the launch is approaching.
OPPO Reno 17 Series Launch Date and Expected Models
OPPO has confirmed a November launch for the Reno 17 series in China, although the exact date has not been announced. Recent reports suggest that the series will include at least two models, the standard OPPO Reno 17 and the OPPO Reno 17 Pro.
As a part of the global lineup, OPPO Reno 17F has appeared on several certification platforms including India’s BIS and Thailand’s NBTC. The global Reno 17F is tipped to feature a 6.57-inch OLED display, 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage.
It remains unclear whether the same device will launch in China under a different name.
OPPO Reno 17 Series Specifications: What to Expect
The OPPO Reno 17 Pro is expected to feature a 6.32-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Super chipset and pack a 7,000mAh battery.
The standard OPPO Reno 17, meanwhile, is expected to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, 7,000mAh battery and a triple rear camera setup with 50-megapixel sensors.
The smartphones are expected to run Android 17-based ColorOS 17, although OPPO has not officially confirmed the software details.
OPPO Reno 17 Series May Get 200MP Cameras and New AI Features
The Reno 17 Pro is tipped to feature a 200-megapixel primary camera with gimbal stabilisation to help improve image stability when capturing photos and videos.
The phone may also feature a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.
Apart from camera hardware, the Reno 17 series could introduce new photography and AI-related features. According to earlier reports, the lineup may include improved live photo capabilities, new image-editing tools, and a dedicated AI button.
OPPO is also reportedly exploring support for a telephoto extender. However, it is not yet clear whether this feature will be available on the Reno 17 series or which models could support it.
OPPO Reno 17 Series India Launch Timeline
OPPO has confirmed the Reno 17 series launch for China in November but it has not announced an India launch timeline.
Earlier reports suggested that the standard OPPO Reno 17 could arrive in India by early January 2027.
