Oppo has expanded its Reno smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the Oppo Reno 16 and Oppo Reno 16c. The new Reno series phones feature AMOLED displays with up to a 120Hz refresh rate, triple rear camera setups led by 50-megapixel primary sensors, and large batteries with 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging support.
While the Reno 16 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, the Reno 16c comes equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC. Both smartphones also offer IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance along with ColorOS 16 out of the box. Here’s everything you need to know about the newly launched devices.
Oppo Reno 16 and Oppo Reno 16c – Price and Availability in India

The Oppo Reno 16 is priced at Rs. 61,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant, while the 12GB + 256GB model costs Rs. 67,999.
Meanwhile, the Oppo Reno 16c starts at Rs. 46,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant. The model is also available in 8GB + 256GB version priced at Rs. 49,999 and the top-end 12GB + 256GB model with a price tag of Rs. 55,999.
As part of the first sale offers, buyers can also avail of no-cost EMI options starting at Rs. 3,444 per month for the Oppo Reno 16 and Rs. 3,133 per month for the Oppo Reno 16c.
Both smartphones are available in Starry White, Stellar Purple, and Twilight Violet colour options.
The phones will go on sale in India starting July 9 through the OPPO Store, Flipkart, Amazon India, and leading offline retail stores.
Oppo Reno 16 5G – Key Features
The Oppo Reno 16 features a 6.32-inch AMOLED display with a 2640 × 1216 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 460 PPI pixel density. The panel offers 600 nits typical brightness, 1,800 nits in High Brightness Mode (HBM), and a peak brightness of 3,600 nits. It also supports 10-bit colour depth, along with DC dimming (above 70 nits) and PWM dimming (70 nits and below).
The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 mobile platform paired with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage and runs ColorOS 16.
For photography, the Oppo Reno 16 comes with a triple rear camera setup including a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor with OIS, f/1.8 aperture, 1/1.95-inch sensor size, and a 5P lens. It is accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a GC50F6 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 1/2.88-inch sensor, 6P lens, and autofocus, as well as a 50MP Samsung JN5 telephoto camera offering 80mm focal length, OIS, f/2.8 aperture, 1/2.75-inch sensor, and a 4P lens.
On the front, the device houses a 50MP selfie camera with a GC50F6 sensor, 18mm focal length, f/2.0 aperture, 1/2.88-inch sensor, 5P lens, and autofocus.
The smartphone packs a 6,700mAh silicon-carbon battery with 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging support.
Connectivity features include dual Nano-SIM support, Bluetooth 5.4, dual stereo speakers, an X-axis linear motor, an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, and navigation support for GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS.
It is also rated IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K for dust and water resistance. The handset measures 151.21 × 72.42 × 8.36mm and weighs around 193g in the Starry White colour, while the Twilight Violet and Stellar Purple variants measure 151.21 × 72.42 × 8.22mm and weigh approximately 182g.

The Oppo Reno 16c comes with a slightly larger 6.57-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2372 × 1080) resolution, 397 PPI pixel density, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display delivers 600 nits of typical brightness, 1,400 nits in High Brightness Mode (HBM), and supports 10-bit colour depth.
The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset paired with 8GB or 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It runs on ColorOS 16.
For photography, the Oppo Reno 16c comes with a triple rear camera setup led by a 50MP SC532HS primary sensor with OIS, f/1.8 aperture, 1/2.0-inch sensor size, and a 5P lens. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide camera featuring a GC08A8 sensor, 15mm focal length, 1/4-inch sensor, f/2.2 aperture, a 5P lens, and autofocus. The third camera is a 50MP Samsung S5KKN1 telephoto sensor with a 92mm focal length, 1/3.13-inch sensor, f/2.8 aperture, 2-axis OIS, and a 4P lens.
