We had global variants of the Oppo Reno 16F 5G and Reno 16 Pro spotted on Thailand’s NBTC certification platform recently. Now, the standard Oppo Reno 16 5G has now also received NBTC approval. According to the latest certification listing, the Oppo Reno 16 5G carries the model number CPH2865. While the NBTC certification does not reveal detailed specifications of the device, it strongly suggests that the global launch of the smartphone could happen soon.

The smartphone was previously spotted on multiple certification platforms including TDRA in the UAE, BIS in India, IMDA in Singapore, and TUV certification databases.

Among these listings, the TUV certification revealed that the upcoming smartphone may support 80W fast charging technology.

Oppo Reno 16 5G – What Else We Know?

Moreover, the Oppo Reno 16 5G also appeared in the NBD import-export database disclosing a few key hardware details. According to the listing, the smartphone could feature a 6.57-inch display, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage.

The remaining specifications of the global model are still unknown and it is currently unclear whether the international variant will retain the same hardware as the Chinese version.

Interestingly, the leaked 6.57-inch display size indicates that the global Reno 16 could differ from the China-exclusive model, which features a more compact 6.32-inch OLED display.

For reference, the Chinese version of the Oppo Reno 16 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 chipset and packs a 6,700mAh battery. The smartphone also features a triple rear camera setup headlined by a 200-megapixel primary sensor.

As for the previous-generation Reno 15 series, it was launched earlier this year and features a 50-megapixel triple rear camera setup, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, and a 6,500mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging.
