The upcoming Oppo Find X7 series, poised for a January 2024 launch, is being leaked left, right, and centre ahead of its unveiling in China.
The latest rumours suggest that these devices, including the Find X7 and Find X7 Ultra models, are optimized for high-performance gaming.
The reason for this is that rumour has it OPPO is optimising the handsets to support frame rates as high as 120 frames per second.
The Find X7 series is rumoured to include two models: the standard Find X7 and the Find X7 Ultra.
The Ultra variant may feature a dedicated version supporting two-way satellite communication, likely named the Find X7 Ultra Satellite Communication Version.
The standard Find X7 is expected to boast MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 chip, a high-refresh-rate 120Hz display, 16 GB of LPDDR5T RAM, 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging.
The Ultra variants, on the other hand, are speculated to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and might include advanced camera modules with multiple Sony sensors, matching the base model’s battery capacity and offering additional 50W wireless charging.
The design elements of the Find X7 series are expected to be similar across all models, continuing the Hasselblad partnership for camera technology.
The devices are also expected to boast top-tier displays from BOE, which supplied panels for the OnePlus 12.

The Oppo Find X7 series is rumoured to be optimized for high-performance gaming, particularly for MOBA games like “Honor of Kings,” featuring ultra-high frame rate modes and settings capable of reaching 120 fps, ensuring smoother and more responsive gameplay.
High frame rates, such as 120fps, on the Find X7 series are expected to provide fluid motion and reduced input lag, which is crucial for fast-paced and competitive gaming, offering an enhanced and immersive gaming experience.
While the Find X7 series is optimized for higher fps, it’s important to consider the balance with hardware capabilities.
Higher frame rates can affect battery life and device temperature, but Oppo is expected to have addressed these concerns in its latest models.
The standard Find X7 is expected to feature MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 chip, a 120Hz display, 16 GB RAM, and 1 TB storage, while the Find X7 Ultra is rumoured to have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, advanced camera modules, and two-way satellite communication support.
The OPPO Find X7 Pro is speculated to boast a dual periscope lens setup, potentially offering up to 6x optical zoom.
The camera might include a 50MP wide camera with Sony’s LYT900 sensor. These features, still in the realm of rumours, promise to significantly enhance the photography experience.
According to leaks, the Find X7 Pro might depart from the Find X6 Pro’s design, featuring a rounded silver metal frame and a distinct hexagonal camera module.
This shift could include a soft finish or faux leather rear panel, representing a significant aesthetic evolution from the previous model.
The Find X7 Ultra is poised to be the highlight of the series, offering the same powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip as the Pro model but with a larger 5,000mAh battery.
It is expected to feature a superior camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX858 telephoto sensor, a 3x zoom Sony IMX890 sensor, and possibly a 50MP main camera with a 1-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor.
