We have been using the OPPO Enco Air2 Pro TWS earbuds for a few days now and here’s a quick review to help you decide whether these would be a good buy for you.
Pro | Cons |
● Good sound quality
● Decent ANC support ● Good Low Latency Mode ● Good Microphone Quality ● Seamless Touch controls ● No Sound Lags ● Easy Connectivity ● IP54 rating |
● Case prone to scratches
● No custom EQ settings in the App ● No AptX |
The Enco Air2 Pro comes in an innovative refractive bubble case.
This case design perfectly complements its glossy finish.
We received the White Colour variant for this review and it looks pristine.
We loved how the case changes its appearance a bit in the light and looks almost translucent.
The oval-shaped case is compact and easily fits into your pocket or small purse.
Although it looks delicate and is made up of plastic, the case build quality is great for the segment.
It has decent hinge sturdiness and the snap locks mechanism safely holds the earbuds in place.
Another design highlight is the IP54 Dust and Water Resistance to keep the earbuds damage-free for a long time.
As for the in-canal earbuds, the very first glance reminded us of Airpod Pro.
The overall design and stems look quite similar.
The earbuds have an ergonomic streamlined design.
We found the earbuds quite comfortable as well.
The skin-friendly silicone ear tips fit perfectly and you can easily wear them for long hours.
The earbuds too have good build quality and would surely prove to be durable.
The Enco Air2 Pro has 12.4mm titanium-coated diaphragm drivers promising deeper bass.
These have a vibration area 89% larger than that of typical 9 mm diaphragm drivers.
The custom-made large rear chamber also adds to the overall balanced sound output.
These earbuds have deeper stronger bass and a wider sound field.
It almost makes you feel as immersive as on-site on the live sound stage.
With the AAC enabled, audio quality is good with clear vocals and handles high, middle and low frequencies well.
The noise isolation capacity is impressive.
The background noise is reduced to a certain extent.
And thanks to the dual microphone, the voice remains clear during calls. The AI noise-cancelling algorithm performs well for the segment.
The Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) blocks the ambient sound up to 25db.
It works decently well in crowded or noisy environments.
But do not expect extraordinary ANC performance.
Let’s start with the controls.
The Enco Air2 Pro comes with touch controls on both earbuds.
You can tap on either of the buds to Pause, Play or change tracks.
ANC and transparency modes are also controlled by touch.
Coming to the app support with these earbuds.
You can connect these earbuds with the Hey Melody App to control its settings and enjoy other features.
HeyMelody is the software for firmware upgrades and function settings of OnePlus wireless headsets, as well as OPPO wireless headsets.
They can be used to quickly view the battery levels of both left and right earbuds.
You can also modify the earbud’s operation and firmware upgrade.
Pairing your earbuds with your phone becomes extremely smooth when you have the Hey Melody app installed.
The earbuds come with a 43mAh battery capacity.
The charging case, on the other hand, has 440mAh battery capacity.
OPPO claims that Enco Air2 Pro promises 5 hours (single charge) with 20 hours for charging case with Noise Cancellation On and 7 hours (single charge) with 28 hours for charging case.
The 28-hour promise is slightly less when we compare it with some of the competition currently available in the market.
We thoroughly used the earbuds and got almost 4 and a half hours of battery support with mixed use of with and without ANC.
We mostly used these in about 50% volume.
So, overall the battery performance was good.
You also get about 2 hours of playback on 10 minutes of charge, which is quite useful.
Overall, the OPPO Enco Air2 Pro is a decent true wireless earbud with active noise cancellation (ANC) that you can get at Rs. 3499.
It has almost every essential feature you can expect from a mid-range earbud.
The audio quality is good and with up to 25db noise cancellation, Enco Air2 Pro provides decent ANC performance.
However, if you are looking for customization settings, the available options in the app may seem limited.
Battery life, we would say is good also.
