The leak reveals that one standout addition is a rotary dial similar to Apple’s Digital Crown making navigation easier.
Another significant upgrade is ECG monitoring enhancing the watch’s health-tracking capabilities to compete with premium wearables like the Samsung Galaxy Watch and Apple Watch. However, the availability of ECG features may depend on health certifications in specific markets.
The OnePlus Watch 3 is also rumoured to include LTE connectivity allowing it to function independently of a smartphone. Users could make calls, stream music and receive notifications directly on the watch.
Although, this feature might roll out in select regions first with China likely being a priority.
The Smartprix report also suggests the OnePlus Watch 3 is expected to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Battery specifications remain unclear with reports mentioning both a 500mAh and a 631mAh battery.
Like its predecessor, the Watch 3 will run on a dual OS setup combining Wear OS and RTOS and offering a mix of smart functionality and efficiency.
Moreover, The watch is reportedly slightly larger than the previous model with dimensions of 46.6 x 47.6 x 11.75mm, as per the previously leaked FCC certification document.
As of now, we have no update about its exact launch date. However, since it has already received FCC approval, a global launch seems imminent.
