OnePlus Nord 2T launched in India today, price starts at Rs 28,999

After being in the rumour mill for quite some time, OnePlus is all set to unveil its Nord 2T smartphone in India. The brand will launch its latest smartphone under popular Nord series on July 1. Exact launch time is yet to be confirmed.

The OnePlus Nord 2T launched in the global market in May and is expected to sport two storage variants, similar to the ones available in selected countries.

Featuring 4500 mAh battery with 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging, the smartphone is expected to be available in two black and green colour options. Furthermore, the upcoming OnePlus Nord 2T, features a distinct rear camera module with two large cut-outs for the triple rear cameras. In addition to this, to be launched smartphone will have the iconic slider which is not offered on the OnePlus 10R and Nord 2 CE 5G.

The 5G enabled OnePlus Nord 2T promises to offer for a full day battery with 15 minutes of charging. Coming to the optics, the device is expected to feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor with optical image stabilisation.

Additionally, the OnePlus Nord 2T features a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset, while the Nord 2 comes with MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset. The OnePlus Nord 2T runs Android 12-based OxygenOS 12.1 out-of-the-box.

The OnePlus Nord 2T will come up with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 2-megapixel macro lens. With its MediaTek Dimensity and 1300 chipset, the smartphone promises to offer the next level low light image processing.

According to the leaks, the OnePlus Nord 2T will feature an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 2-megapixel macro lens. On the front, it may get a 32-megapixel sensor inside the hole-punch cutout on the left of the front panel.

OnePlus Nord 2T expected price in India

Going by the name, the Nord 2T will be launched as the successor of the OnePlus Nord 2, which was launched in July last year under the price bracket of Rs30,000.

The base variant of Nord 2T with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant has been priced at Rs 28,999. On the other hand, the high-end variant with 12GB RAM and 128GB storage is likely to be priced Rs 31,999. The upcoming 5G phone will be available to buy via Amazon exclusively from July 5.

The design and specifications of the Indian version of the OnePlus Nord 2T is expected to be the same as its global variant. However, the Indian model is expected to be launched with support for expandable storage that is not available in global model of OnePlus Nord 2T.
