OnePlus is likely gearing up to launch a successor to its popular hearable Buds series in the form of the OnePlus Buds 3.
Based on leaked renders revealed in a collaboration between MySmartPrice and OnLeaks, the TWS are likely to have a similar design profile to its predecessor, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2, the only major design alteration seems to be a new metallic finish.
The earbuds are expected to be lighter, each weighing a mere 4.77 grams.
Interestingly, the ANC feature remains consistent with the previous model, offering 48dB of noise cancellation.
The earbuds will also feature a dual speaker system with a 10.4mm woofer and a 6mm tweeter.
Bluetooth v5.3 and Google Fast Pair will be supported for connectivity.
Users can expect dual connection support as well, according to the report.
When it comes to durability, an IP55 rating is said to make the earbuds resistant to both water and dust.
The accompanying case is expected to come with an IPX4 rating.
Battery longevity remains unaltered, with 9 hours of battery life when ANC is off, extending to 33 hours with the case.
Turning the ANC on will reduce these numbers to 6 and 22 hours, respectively.
Inside each earbud will be a 58mAh battery, while the case will house a 520mAh battery.
A quick 10-minute charge is reported to provide up to 5 hours of listening time.
No official release date has been set for the OnePlus Buds 3, but they’re likely to launch alongside the OnePlus 12 next year.
