OnePlus is all set to unveil the OnePlus Ace 5 series in China by the end of this month. While not much is known about the smartphone from official sources as of now, popular tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) recently shared insights into the real-world gaming capabilities of the OnePlus Ace 5.
Digital Chat Station tested the Ace 5 in a controlled 20°C environment with screen brightness locked at 440 nits. All tests were conducted in performance mode.
Honor of Kings: On ultra-high graphics and 10v10 mode, the Ace 5 hit an average of 119.5 fps, with a power consumption of just 3.38W. This efficiency places it well below the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in power usage.
Genshin Impact: At max settings during exploration and combat in Sumeru, the device maintained an average of 60.2 fps with power usage at 4.8W, demonstrating better temperature control than the standard 8G3 chip.
Honkai: Star Rail: In high-load scenarios, there were notable frame rate fluctuations, but the phone still managed 55.2 fps at 5.7W, outperforming the standard 8 Gen 3 by a significant margin.
Digital Chat Station described the Ace 5 as an “aggressive version” of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The tech allows it to manage power consumption and temperature as effectively as the Snapdragon 8 Elite delivering a gaming experience.
