OnePlus To Expand 185Hz Displays Across Lineup
According to tipster Smart Pikachu, OnePlus is working on making 185Hz displays a standard feature across a wider range of its smartphones. The tipster claims that the company is preparing a new display strategy that will introduce these display panels with high refresh rate not only on flagship models but also on select mid-range offerings.
The brand has already introduced a couple of premium smartphones with 165Hz displays and recent rumours have suggested that the upcoming OnePlus 16 and Ace 7 series will be the first to receive upgraded 185Hz panels. The latest leak indicates that this technology may not remain exclusive to the flagship segment for long.
OnePlus 16R and Nord 7 Could Also Get 185Hz Panels
At present, the OnePlus 15, Ace 6, Ace 6T, Ace 6 Ultra, 15T, 15R, and Nord 6 are equipped with 165Hz refresh rate displays. Among these, the Ace-branded models and the OnePlus 15T are available only in China, while the OnePlus 15, OnePlus 15R and Nord 6 are sold in select global markets.
If the latest leak turns out to be accurate, the successors to all of these devices could arrive with 185Hz displays. This means the OnePlus 16R and Nord 7 may also feature the upgraded panels alongside the OnePlus 16. In China, the entire next-generation Ace 7 series is also expected to adopt 185Hz refresh rate screens.
Launch Timeline
The OnePlus 16R and Nord 7 are not expected to launch anytime soon. The OnePlus 15R was introduced in December 2025, while the Nord 6 made its debut in April 2026.
