The OnePlus 13, set to succeed the OnePlus 12, might feature an all-Sony Lytia sensor lineup for its camera setup.
This information comes from tipster Yogesh Brar, who shared the details on social media platform X.
According to Brar, the OnePlus 13 could include a Sony Lytia 808 primary camera and two Sony Lytia 600 sensors.
This arrangement, if implemented, would mark a shift towards uniformity in the camera sensors used by OnePlus.
Reports suggest that the camera housing might also undergo changes.
Leaks indicate a possible move to a rectangular design, positioned either in the middle or on the left side of the device’s back panel.
These potential design modifications could significantly alter the appearance of the new model compared to its predecessor.
The OnePlus 13 is expected to feature a 6.8-inch OLED curved edge panel with 2K resolution and a nearly bezel-less display.
It’s likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset and pack a 6000mAh battery.
The device is tipped to run on OxygenOS based on Android 15, which will include enhanced AI capabilities and improved Google AI tools.
Following the release pattern of its predecessor, the OnePlus 13 is expected to launch in China in December 2024, followed by India and global markets in late January or early February 2025.
Some sources suggest a possible earlier launch in October 2024, though this remains unconfirmed.
An earlier report by Android Police indicates that the OnePlus 13 might be priced higher than the OnePlus 12, which was released at Rs. 75,000.
This potential increase is attributed to rising component costs.
The previous model, the OnePlus 12, launched in January 2024 at Rs. 65,000 and was well-received by users and tech reviewers for its high-end specifications.
It’s worth noting that as with all pre-release information, these details about the OnePlus 13 are subject to change.
Official confirmation from OnePlus is yet to be provided, and consumers are advised to wait for formal announcements before making any purchasing decisions based on these rumours.
