Folding phones just got a lot more affordable with the global launch of the Nubia Flip.
This clamshell-style foldable hits the market as the cheapest flip smartphone available.
Originally launched in China, the Nubia Flip is now rolling out to the UK, US, Australia, Singapore and other countries from April 23rd.
And its bargain pricing is turning heads.
The entry-level model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage starts at just £315 in the UK (around Rs 35,000).
Even the higher-end 12GB/512GB version costs only £525 (about Rs 50,000).
That dramatically undercuts Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip4, which sells for £999.
So what are you getting for the money?
The Nubia Flip packs respectable mid-range specs into its unique folding design:
While not a flagship powerhouse, the foldable Nubia Flip seems ideal for those wanting an affordable taste of the flip phone experience.
Its folding mechanism is rated for over 200,000 unfolds as well.
The camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor paired with a 2MP depth camera for portrait shots.
For selfies, it has a 16MP front-facing camera.
Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip, the Nubia Flip promises solid mid-range performance.
Nubia claims the Flip can fully charge in 73 minutes with its 33W fast charging.
However, it lacks wireless charging capabilities.
With pre-orders now open across global markets, the ultra-cheap Nubia Flip is offering foldable phone fans a wildly more affordable path to flipping their smartphone open and closed.
