Nothing is rolling out a new update for its AI-powered productivity app, Essential Space, featured on its latest smartphones. Known for enabling users to record videos, take screenshots, set reminders and more using AI, Essential Space is now getting improved file-sharing capabilities.
The London-based tech company announced the two key updates that enhance how users can share their Essential Space content on the Nothing community page. Sharing two short videos explaining the features in a new post, it wrote, “we’re bringing a couple of new updates for improved sharability in Essential Space.” Here’s more on the new features.
The first upgrade enables the sharing of Flip-to-Record audio clips. This feature lets users start a voice recording by flipping their phone upside down and pressing the Essential Key button.
Now, these recordings or their transcripts can be shared as images, PDFs, or Markdown files by tapping the three-dot menu.
The second update adds export support for Memories, which include any images or screenshots saved in Essential Space. These can now also be shared using the same file formats such as image, PDF, or Markdown
Both features are now available on the Nothing Phone 3, Phone 3a, and Phone 3a Pro. The updates will roll out automatically via Google Play, though users can manually install them by visiting the app’s listing on the Play Store.
Explaining how users can update the app to access the new features, the Community Page post outlines, “If auto-update is on, just connect to Wi-Fi and Essential Space will update automatically via Google Play. If not, update manually in the Google Play Store listing.”
