Nothing is preparing to introduce a new smartphone series in India with the launch of the Nothing Phone (4b). The upcoming device will become the first model in the company’s newly created b-series lineup, which is expected to be positioned below the existing a-series smartphones.
While the launch date is yet to be updated on Flipkart’s dedicated microsite, the company appears to have revealed the timeline through teasers shared on X. Here are more details.

According to teasers shared by tipster Yogesh Brar @heyitsyogesh on X, the Nothing Phone (4b) will make its India debut on July 7. Posts related to the launch have already surfaced on official Nothing accounts on X. Although the Flipkart landing page for the device has not yet been updated with the official date.
The Phone (4b) will mark the beginning of Nothing’s new b-series smartphone range and further expand the company’s portfolio in the country.

The launch comes shortly after Nothing co-founder Akis Evangelidis outlined the company’s updated product naming approach.
According to Evangelidis, the number in a product name represents the generation of the device, while the accompanying letter identifies its position within the lineup. He also clarified that the a-series will continue to serve as Nothing’s most premium offering below its flagship smartphones.

Nothing has already begun teasing the Phone (4b) and giving fans an early look at its design language. A recently released sketch-style teaser video suggests that the smartphone will continue the brand’s signature transparent rear-panel design.

The teaser also indicates that the device could feature a single rear camera. While this may help the company maintain a lower price point, it could raise questions among buyers especially since many smartphones in the affordable segment now offer dual-camera setups as standard.
Nothing Phone (4b) – What To Expect?
Although Nothing has not yet officially revealed the Phone (4b)’s specifications, the device is expected to be positioned below the Phone (4a) series in the company’s lineup. It is also expected to bring the company’s distinctive design philosophy and clean software experience to a lower price segment.
For reference, the Nothing Phone (4a) series starts at Rs 37,999 in India. As a result, the Phone (4b) is expected to arrive at a more accessible price point, making it one of the brand’s most affordable smartphones.
However, buyers should not expect an ultra-budget offering. Industry-wide increases in memory, component, and manufacturing costs have pushed smartphone prices higher across various segments.
