Nothing is gearing up to expand its lineup with a new budget-friendly smartphone. According to reports, this phone will potentially be called the Phone 3a. Now recent leaks reveal exciting upgrades in both the chipset and camera department. Here’s what we know so far.

Nothing Phone 3a – Key Features (Rumoured)

Nothing has built a reputation for its sleek, transparent designs featuring LED strips and this design philosophy will most likely continue with the Phone 3a.

According to a leak reported by AndroidAuthority, the Nothing OS 3.0 code reveals three upcoming models –

  • Phone (3a)
  • Phone (3a) Plus
  • CMF Phone (2)

These devices are codenamed “asteroids,” “asteroids_plus,” and “galaga,” respectively within the Android 15 OS update.

The Nothing Phone 3a and 3a Plus are expected to feature the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC offering a significant boost in performance. Meanwhile, the CMF Phone 2 might opt for a MediaTek Dimensity chip keeping its focus on affordability.

So far, Nothing phones have typically included a dual-camera system with a primary lens and an ultra-wide camera. However, the Phone 3a is rumoured to introduce a telephoto camera, while the Phone 3a Plus could take it further with a periscope telephoto shooter. This upgrade would make Nothing’s budget lineup more versatile for photography enthusiasts.
