Nothing Phone (1) – Customers report several glitches and issues

Regardless of weird the name “Nothing” sounds to you, you cannot deny the buzz that this phone generated in the past few months. Created by Carl Pei’s tech brand the “Nothing Phone (1)” has hit the markets now and is in the hands of the customers.

Despite all of its positive reviews, buyers have noted several problems and bugs.

Let us look at the major issues reported by customers in this article.

The Green tint problem

A user reported that his Nothing Phone (1) was showing a green-colored tint while using dark mode. The green tint is a part of the problem with the display of the phone. It is a common issue that is seen in phones that are a bit cheaper.

With all the hype that Nothing created during the pre-launch, it is undoubtedly a turn-off for the customers. There are no updates as of now from the manufacturer’s side regarding the issue.

The Dead pixel problem

A consumer from India has stated that the pixels (the color unit) on display have turned black several hours after their use. It is caused due to a broken transistor.  The main reason for this is said to be a manufacturing defect.

The company has not answered for this defect until now. Since it is a hardware defect, the only alternative left is to change the display fully.

Dampness under the back camera

Another customer complained that his phone seems to have moisture locked under its back camera. It is detrimental to the long usage of the phone.

However, the company has been quick to solve the issue. They arranged for returning the defective piece and replaced the customer with a brand new phone.

Other than the hardware problems, several software problems such as

  • Bluetooth connectivity issue
  • Lagging during the use

Were also been identified by the users.

In case you bought a Nothing Phone (1) and face such issues, contact customer support and try getting it resolved as soon as possible.
