Motorola appears to be preparing the launch of a new premium smartphone lineup in India. A new Motorola teaser has quietly gone live on Flipkart with an app-only microsite that teases a new “Signature” series. The teaser points to December 28 as the next important date, suggesting an imminent reveal of a flagship device that has already appeared in recent leaks and renders.
The Flipkart microsite describes the upcoming phone with the line “premium deserves its signature,” hinting that this could be Motorola’s next top-end offering. The new Signature series is expected to replace the company’s Edge Ultra models as its flagship lineup.
One of the teaser visuals shows a woman in a gold dress standing out among a crowd dressed in monochrome suits, accompanied by the tagline, “now, in an age where everything looks and feels the same, premium deserves its signature.” Another teaser leans into Motorola’s legacy, stating that “back in 1973, Motorola gave the world its first portable phone,” before adding, “from that moment, innovation became our signature.”

Leaked renders have revealed colour options such as “Carbon” and “Martini Olive,” aligning with the teaser’s focus on distinct and premium aesthetics. Motorola is also expected to continue using premium materials like vegan leather, which has become a signature element of its ultra-premium smartphones. In a separate post, the tipster posted a different image that also includes a stylus, suggesting stylus input support on the device.
Additional design leaks indicate a metal frame, a hole-punch display, and a textured rear panel with Motorola branding. The square camera module is shown housing a triple-camera setup along with an LED flash.
The smartphone is rumoured to be among the first devices in India to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. It is expected to sport a 6.7-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, likely continuing Motorola’s “endless edge” curved design language or adopting a refined micro quad-curve panel.
A recent Geekbench listing has reportedly confirmed 16GB of RAM and Android 16 for the device.
On the camera front, leaks point to a square-shaped rear camera island, marking a departure from earlier Motorola designs. The setup is said to include three 50-megapixel sensors, led by a Sony Lytia primary camera with optical image stabilisation, along with a high-performance periscope telephoto lens.
While the Flipkart microsite currently mentions “stay tuned,” reports suggest that the Motorola Signature smartphone could officially launch in India sometime in January 2026.
