Motorola has started teasing its first book-style foldable smartphone, the Motorola Razr Fold, for its India launch soon. The device was initially unveiled at MWC 2026 and has already made its debut in Europe. It is also set to launch in China this month and now India appears to be the next market in line. Here’s more on that.
A dedicated Flipkart landing page for the upcoming Motorola Razr Fold in India has now gone live hinting that the official launch is just around the corner. The page carries a “coming soon” tag and includes a notify option for users interested in the device.
Moreover, Motorola India social media pages have also shared a teaser confirming that the Razr Fold will arrive soon.
While the exact launch date has not yet been revealed, it is expected to be announced shortly along with full details about pricing and availability. The device has already launched globally and the specifications for India are expected to remain unchanged.
Based on the release in the select international regions, we know that the Motorola Razr Fold features a 6.6-inch pOLED outer display with a resolution of 2520 x 1080 pixels, a 165Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 6000 nits. The outer screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3.
On the inside, the device offers a large 8.1-inch LTPO foldable display with a resolution of 2484 x 2232 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate and brightness of up to 6200 nits alongwith ultra-thin glass (UTG) protection.
Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset paired with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. The foldable is backed by a 6000mAh silicon-carbon battery, which supports 80W wired charging, 50W wireless charging and 5W reverse wired charging.
For photography, the Razr Fold comes with a triple rear camera setup including a 50-megapixel primary sensor with Sony LYT-828 and OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 122-degree field of view and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom with OIS. On the front, the device includes a 32-megapixel camera on the outer display and a 20-megapixel camera on the inner screen. It also supports 8K video recording and Dolby Vision.
On the software side, the smartphone runs Android 16 and is promised to receive seven major Android updates along with seven years of security updates.
Other features include support for Motorola Pen Ultra and an IP48/49 rating for improved durability.
In Europe, the Motorola Razr Fold is positioned in the premium segment and competes with other flagship foldables. While its India pricing has not yet been revealed, it is expected to be priced similarly in the high-end category.
