Motorola has kickstarted the hype train for its highly anticipated Moto X50 Ultra smartphone, initially teased as the brand’s “AI Phone” back in March.
As the launch draws closer, the company has begun unveiling glimpses of the device’s design and capabilities through a series of teasers.
One of the latest revelations comes from the Moto X50 Ultra’s appearance on China’s 3C certification database.
The listing, bearing the model number Moto XT2401-2, divulges a crucial detail – the phone’s blistering fast charging speed.
According to the certification, the Moto X50 Ultra will boast an impressive 125W fast charging support, courtesy of the MC-1258 charger that accommodates a wide range from 15W to 125W.
This aligns with previous speculation that the Moto X50 Ultra could be a rebranded version of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra for the Chinese market.
Official teasers have already provided glimpses of the Moto X50 Ultra’s design, which appears to closely mirror the Edge 50 Ultra’s aesthetic.
The sleek device has a curved punch-hole display and a triple rear camera setup, encased in a striking black chassis adorned with a wood-inspired back panel reminiscent of its global counterpart.
Motorola’s affiliation with Formula 1 as an official sponsor has also been cleverly incorporated into the device’s promotional materials.
While the Moto X50 Ultra’s hardware specifications are expected to align closely with the Edge 50 Ultra, including a 6.7-inch pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, and a formidable camera array, the real highlight is shaping up to be its AI capabilities.
Branded as an “AI Phone,” the Moto X50 Ultra is anticipated to introduce a host of generative AI features, potentially integrating Lenovo’s recently unveiled “Xiaotian” AI assistant.
The 3C certification for the Moto X50 Ultra indicates it will support 125W fast charging, making it one of the fastest-charging phones available.
The Moto X50 Ultra is expected to have a curved punch-hole display, a triple rear camera setup, and a unique wood-inspired back panel.
The device will use the MC-1258 charger, which supports a variable output from 15W to 125W to accommodate different charging needs.
The Moto X50 Ultra is touted as an “AI Phone” and will likely incorporate Lenovo’s “Xiaotian” AI assistant among other generative AI features.
The Moto X50 Ultra is expected to be a rebranded version of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra for the Chinese market, sharing similar hardware specifications and design cues.
