Motorola is getting ready to expand its G-series lineup with two new mid-range phones, the Moto G56 and the Moto G86. This will follow the launch of the premium category Edge 60, Edge 60 Pro and Razr 60 series. It appears the brand is now focused on bringing more budget-friendly options to the table. While not much has been officially revealed about the two phones, Moto G56 renders have surfaced online. Here’s what we know about the phone.
Earlier this month, the Moto G56’s specs leaked online followed by a set of renders that gave us a first look at its design. Now, new YTECHB report has shared even more renders including the colour that was missing last time such as Pantone Gray Mist.

We also get a fresh look at the other three colours that were already revealed including the Pantone Dill, Pantone Dazzling Blue and Pantone Black Oyster colours.

From the images, we can tell that the upcoming Moto G56 is keeping things familiar with its button and port layout. You’ll find the power and volume buttons on the right side and the SIM card slot on the left. The bottom of the phone houses a 3.5mm headphone jack, microphone, USB Type-C port, and speaker grille.
On the top, there’s another microphone along with Dolby Atmos branding for the speaker system.
The Moto G56 is rumoured to feature a 6.72-inch LCD display with a 1080 x 2400 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, it’s expected to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 processor with options for 4GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of internal storage.
Powering the device is a 5,200mAh battery that supports 33W wired charging. For cameras, the rear setup includes a 50MP main sensor (Sony Lytia LYT-600), an 8MP ultrawide and there’s a 32MP front camera for selfies.
The phone is also IP68 and IP69 rated, making it resistant to dust and water. And yes, it still has a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Moto G56 will run Android 15 out of the box. While its predecessor launched in September, all these back-to-back leaks suggest we might see it launch even sooner this year.
