It appears Motorola has already started working on the next G series smartphones soon after the launch of the Moto G 2025 and Moto G Power 2025. Recently, leaked renders have surfaced showing off a first look at the upcoming Moto G 2026 and Moto G Power 2026. At first glance, it seems he upcoming phones stick closely to the design of their predecessors but also bring fresh updates like 50MP cameras and new Pantone colours to offer something new to the customers. Here’s what we know.
The leaked images show both phones keeping the familiar look of the 2025 models. They are rumoured to feature 6.7 to 6.8-inch displays and a triple-camera setup. This includes a 50MP main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and what appears to be an ambient light sensor disguised as a third camera.

The Moto G 2026 (model XT2613-1) comes with a vegan leather back in Pantone 2376C, a soft slate-blue shade.

Meanwhile, the Moto G Power 2026 (XT2615-1) has a plastic back in Pantone 431C. The Power version looks a bit thicker, which could mean it’s packing a 5,000mAh battery, similar to last year’s model.
Both phones are expected to run Android 16 and could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chip, a small bump up from the Dimensity 6300 in the 2025 lineup.
Just like before, the earlier models offered vegan leather as an option, launched with Android 15, and came with a promise of two major Android updates.
Both phones are expected to include IP68 dust and water resistance and 30W fast charging.
There’s no official launch date yet but a January 2026 reveal after CES seems likely, following the same pattern as the 2025 series. The Moto G 2025 debuted at $199, while the G Power 2025 launched at $299 in the US. A December 2025 release for markets like India is also on the cards, sticking to Motorola’s usual schedule.
Whether these minor updates and new colour options will be enough remains to be seen, but more leaks should clear things up soon.
