Is LG’s Rs 14.99 Lakh 115-Inch TV Worth Buying?

Priced at Rs 14,99,990, the LG 115-inch QNED evo AI Mini LED TV, model 115QNED90BL, is designed for the high-end segment, luxury home theatre enthusiasts looking for an uncompromised large-screen visual setup.

Who Should Consider This Giant TV?

The LG 115-inch QNED evo AI Mini LED TV is for buyers looking for an uncompromised, large-screen experience that is much more resistant to ambient light than traditional projectors. It is best suited for large living rooms, basement theatres or luxury villas.

Mini LED TV vs Projector for a Home Theatre

While high-end 4K projectors can offer large screen sizes, LG’s 115-inch Mini LED TV delivers significantly higher peak brightness, direct HDR performance, pitch-black contrast in lit rooms, and no lamps or projection throws to calibrate.

Unlike projectors that require precise lens shift and throw adjustments, optical alignment, and periodic bulb maintenance, the 115-inch LG QNED evo AI Mini LED QNED90 4K Smart TV offers standard plug-and-play smart TV convenience with integrated speakers and apps.

What Does LG’s ₹14.99 Lakh 115-Inch TV Offer?

Large screen viewing experience

The LG 115QNED90BL brings cinema-grade scale right into your living room. It serves as a media, gaming and smart connectivity hub that replaces legacy multi-device home theatre rigs with a single self-contained display at Rs 14,99,990.

The new LG TV features a 292 cm diagonal display with 4K resolution, vivid Mini LED backlighting, dynamic deep-learning AI features, high-frame-rate 165Hz VRR gaming, and built-in multi-AI assistants like Gemini and Copilot.

It also provides a powerful flagship home theatre option for anyone looking for a full viewing experience without any lighting restrictions.

LG 115-Inch TV Display: 4K, Mini LED and HDR Explained

Mini LED technology uses thousands of tiny LEDs to light the screen from behind. These LEDs are controlled by Precision Dimming Ultra, turning off or dimming locally to generate contrast ratios near OLED while delivering much higher overall brightness.

The native 120Hz refresh rate provides smooth motion for movies and broadcast television, while VRR dynamically matches console or PC graphics outputs up to 165Hz.

The television reduces power in dark areas and increases light in bright areas when displaying high-contrast videos. This eliminates light halos and delivers high-contrast HDR performance for Dolby Vision and HDR10 content.

165Hz VRR Gaming: What Buyers Need to Know

Media broadcast signals and streaming platforms are limited to 24Hz to 60Hz, but modern connected gaming hardware can take advantage of the LG’s new TV panel’s capabilities

Console Gaming like PS5 / Xbox Series X displays native 4K games smoothly at 120Hz with ALLM and VRR over high-speed HDMI 2.1 ports.

Gaming PCs with the latest graphics cards can output VRR up to 165Hz or use Motion Booster mode up to 330Hz at 1080p, delivering low latency and tear-free gameplay with AMD FreeSync Premium.

Can Your Living Room Accommodate a 115-Inch TV?

The LG’s 115-inch QNED evo AI Mini LED QNED90 4K Smart TV has a panel width exceeding 2.5 meters and weighs 93.3 kg. Thus, buyers should check the delivery path, lift dimensions and door frames before making a purchase.

The ideal viewing distance is between 3.5 and 4.5 meters, around 11 to 15 feet, so you can easily see the entire 115-inch canvas without straining.

LG 115-Inch TV vs Home Theatre Projector: Which Makes More Sense?

When it comes to ambient light handling, LG’s Mini LED panels remain vibrant in daylight, while projectors require dark rooms or ambient-light-rejecting (ALR) screens.

The LG 115-Inch TV has native sound, smart platforms and multi-AI software built in, whereas home theatre projectors usually need external sound, streaming sticks and proper alignment.

While projectors can be cheaper initially, high-end native 4K projectors with proper screens and audio gear could touch the similar price brackets as LG 115-inch QNED evo AI Mini LED QNED90 4K Smart TV.

Speaking on the launch, Brian Jung, Director of Media Entertainment Solution, LG Electronics India, said, “The 292 cm (115″) QNED evo Mini LED TV reflects our commitment to creating more immersive home entertainment experiences. By combining ultra-large screen technology with enhanced picture quality, AI-powered sound and advanced gaming features, we are giving consumers new ways to enjoy their favourite sports, movies and games at home. True to its name as the giant of entertainment, it brings the scale of the cinema, the energy of the stadium and the thrill of gaming together on one screen.”
