Lenovo has introduced its latest tablet, the Tab Plus.
This 11.5-inch device doubles as a Bluetooth speaker, aiming to cater to music enthusiasts and general users alike.
“Tablets have evolved to meet the needs of people transitioning between work, study and play, offering a balanced combination of mobility and performance,” said Tony Chen, vice president of Tablets, Intelligent Devices Group, Lenovo. “As the tablet market recovers1, customers can expect increased Lenovo product differentiation through features that address their specific demands. The Lenovo Tab Plus is a prime example of a well-rounded tablet that delivers premium sound for a truly immersive entertainment experience.”
The Lenovo Tab Plus is now available in select global markets, with a starting price of £230.
It comes in a single colour option: Luna Grey.
Lenovo plans to roll out the device to additional markets in the coming months.
The Tab Plus boasts eight JBL speakers, including four matrix tweeters and four force-balanced woofers.
These are housed in four-speaker boxes totalling 22cc, with Dolby Atmos tuning.
The tablet supports high-res audio of 24-bit and 96kHz through headphones, and includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is becoming increasingly rare in modern devices.
Users can control app volume individually, with automatic adjustments when opening music or browser apps.
The device can transform into a Bluetooth speaker for streaming music from other devices, adding versatility to its audio capabilities.
A Standby Mode turns the tablet into a clock or digital photo frame when charging in landscape mode with the kickstand.
This feature activates automatically when the device is placed in this position.
The integrated kickstand offers 175 degrees of viewing flexibility, useful for video calls or media consumption.
The tablet runs Android 14 out of the box and will receive two years of OS upgrades (up to Android 16) and four years of security patches until June 2028.
Its TUV-certified screen has been tested for low blue light emission and flicker-free performance.
A Reading Mode changes the screen colour to resemble a book page, potentially reducing eye strain during extended reading sessions.
The device’s 8,600mAh battery provides up to 12 hours of streaming time, with 45W fast charging capable of fully charging the tablet in 90 minutes.
