Lava is joining a growing list of brands increasing prices due to rising component and ecosystem costs. The brand has revised the pricing of several of its smartphones in India and this latest revision impacts multiple models across entry-level and mid-range segments.
According to the details shared by the brand, the price hikes going up to Rs 1,000 on select variants. Here are more details.
The updated Lava pricing affects popular models such as the Lava Shark 5G, Lava Play Max, Lava Yuva Star 3, and Lava Blaze Duo 3. Meanwhile, some devices such as the Shark 5G Plus, Yuva Smart 2, and Blaze Dragon remain unchanged.
The new prices are already in effect and reflect adjustments across DBR (Distributor Buying Rate), retailer price, and MOP (Market Operating Price).
Among the biggest changes, the Shark 5G and Play Max series have received a flat Rs 1,000 increase in their MOP across variants.
Meanwhile, the Yuva Star 3 sees a Rs 700 hike, the Shark 2 4G gets a Rs 600 bump, and the Blaze Duo 3 price has gone up by Rs 500. Other models in the portfolio continue to retain their existing pricing.
