Lava has quietly introduced its new budget smartphone in India, the Lava Shark 2. The phone joins the company’s affordable lineup and focuses on delivering essential features at a low price point. The most interesting thing about this launch is that even though the phone is now available in India, you will not find it on any e-commerce platforms. Here’s all you need to know.
The new Lava Shark 2 is different from most entry-level smartphones that debut online via Amazon or Flipkart. That is because the phone is only available exclusively through offline retail stores across India. So, to get your hands on this phone, you will have to visit the nearest retailer.
As for colours, the smartphone is offered in Aurora Gold and Eclipse Grey colour options.
Coming to pricing, the device comes in a single 4GB + 64GB variant, priced at Rs 7,500. Buyers can avail an instant bank discount of Rs 750, effectively bringing the price down to Rs 6,750.

The Lava Shark 2 keeps things simple while offering a few standout features for its price. The device sports a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a notch design, providing smoother visuals than most phones in this segment.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Unisoc T7250 chipset. According to Lava, this can achieve over 375,000 points on AnTuTu benchmarks. It is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, along with support for up to 4GB of virtual RAM for improved multitasking.
On the software front, the Lava Shark 2 runs Android 15 (stock version), offering a clean user experience without ads or bloatware, a rare advantage in the budget category.
For photography, the smartphone features a 50MP primary rear camera and an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
Powering the device is a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging, ensuring decent endurance for day-to-day use. Additional features include an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, a glossy back design, and free doorstep service, adding extra value to the overall package.
All-in-all, the new Lava Shark 2 seems to be one of the most appealing choices in India’s sub-Rs 7,000 smartphone segment.
