Lava has introduced its latest 5G smartphone in India, the Lava Play Max 5G. The new entry in the Play series arrives in two colour options and is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 chipset. Commenting on the launch, Sumit Singh, Head of Product, Lava International Limited, said, “Play Max brings the VC Chamber Cooling technology in the segment to maximise the gaming experience with best- in-segment features. Performance is stabilized by VC Chamber Cooling technology which ensures faster heat dissipation and high-level performance even for long hours of game play. It is designed for today’s youth- enabling smooth multi-tasking with better efficiency and enhanced long-day experiences. Play Max combines power, thermal stability and clean software to make everyday usage genuinely effortless in a stylish, proudly Indian device.”

Lava has priced the Play Max 5G at Rs. 12,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The higher 8GB RAM model also with 128GB of storage and it is available at Rs. 14,999.
Buyers can choose between Deccan Black and Himalayan White colour finishes.

The Lava Play Max 5G features a 6.72-inch full-HD+ AMOLED panel with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device uses a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
Lava has included virtual RAM expansion, enabling users to extend RAM by up to 8GB using unused internal storage. Storage is further expandable up to 1TB via microSD card. For photography, the smartphone comes equipped with a 50-megapixel rear camera with EIS support and the ability to record 4K videos at 30fps.
On the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The handset’s IP54 rating adds durability against dust and minor water exposure. To maintain temperature during gaming and heavy multitasking, the Lava Play Max 5G is fitted with Vapour Chamber cooling. According to Lava, users can enjoy games like COD Mobile, BGMI and Free Fire without encountering heating issues.
Runs on Android 15, the phone packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging.
