Google is gearing up to bring its Gemini AI assistant to even more devices by the end of 2025. During Alphabet’s Q1 2025 earnings call, the company announced that Gemini will soon power cars, smartwatches, headphones and tablets, showing Google’s big push to make AI a bigger part of everyday life.

Gemini AI’s Big Expansion

Gemini, which has already taken over from Google Assistant on Android phones, will soon make its way to platforms like Android Auto, Wear OS smartwatches and connected headphones.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai confirmed the news, saying, “We’re upgrading Google Assistant on mobile devices to Gemini, and later this year we’ll upgrade tablets, cars, and devices that connect to your phone, such as headphones and watches.”

The idea is to make devices smarter and faster. For example, Wear OS smartwatches will get better fitness tracking, smoother notifications, and improved voice controls. Meanwhile, Android Auto users can look forward to a more intuitive and helpful driving experience.

Android Police, in one of its recent reports, noted, Code found in the Google beta app suggests that Gemini will come to Wear OS as a “wearable” assistant, supposedly as an update to the existing Assistant app. The company could bring Gemini to its smartwatches through an app update and then further deepen the integration with Wear OS 6’s release. Similarly, code strings found in a recent release of Google Assistant for Android Automotive indicate that Google is working hard on porting Gemini to its car platform.”

When to Expect the Rollout?

While Google hasn’t shared exact dates yet, the rollout is expected to start later this year. We’ll likely hear more details at the upcoming Google I/O conference in May. This move clearly shows Google’s ambition to make Gemini the central AI engine across all its products. As of now, Google I/O scheduled from May 20th to 21st, 2025.

FAQs

Q1. Which devices will Google’s Gemini AI expand to in 2025?

Q2. When will Gemini AI replace Google Assistant on more devices?

Answer. The rollout is expected to begin later in 2025, with Gemini replacing Google Assistant across Android Auto, Wear OS, and other platforms.

Galaxy S25 Edge Shows Up in New Hands-On Video, Side-By-Side Compared to S25 Ultra and iPhone 16 Series

Highlights

  • Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge dummy unit appeared in a hands-on video.
  • It is launching on May 13, 2025 with sales beginning in South Korea on May 23 and in the US on May 30.
  • Features – 6.7-inch 1440p AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, 12GB RAM, and a dual rear camera setup with a 200MP main sensor and an ultrawide camera option.

Samsung is expected to officially unveil the ultra-slim flagship Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge on May 13, 2025. While reports suggest sales will begin in South Korea on May 23 and in the US on May 30, a dummy unit has appeared online. Here’s what we know.

Galaxy S25 Edge Hands-On Video

Samsung’s ultra-slim flagship has made an appearance in a hands-on video featuring a plastic dummy unit. The video shared by X user @techdroider shows the S25 Edge side-by-side with the Galaxy S25 Ultra and iPhone 16 Series models, giving us a closer look at how their designs differ.

The Galaxy S25 Edge has already been in the spotlight earlier this year, first showing up at the Galaxy Unpacked event and later at Samsung’s MWC 2025 booth. Its razor-thin design turned heads back then, even though visitors weren’t allowed to get a hands-on feel.

image image

Caption – Galaxy S25 Edge dummy unit hands-On video. (Image credit – @techdroider on X)

This new video gives a better idea of what to expect. Interestingly, the S25 Edge is only slightly shorter than the S25 Ultra and is said to be priced just below it.

One trade-off for the S25 Edge’s slim 5.84mm profile is its camera setup. It’s not as versatile as the Ultra or even the Plus model, and it doesn’t have a telephoto lens, a feature we recently saw on the OnePlus 13T. Still, at 5.84mm, this will be Samsung’s slimmest flagship yet, offering a refreshing change from the trend of bulkier phones.

Galaxy S25 Edge – What Else to Expect?

The S25 Edge will sport a 6.7-inch 1440p AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it’s powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, just like the other models in the S25 lineup. It will come with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.

On the camera side, the S25 Edge will feature a dual rear setup with a 200MP main sensor and either a 12MP or 50MP ultrawide camera, plus a 12MP front camera. Galaxy AI features like Photo Assist will also be available. However, to maintain its thin design, Samsung has gone with a 3,900mAh battery that supports 25W charging, a smaller battery and slower charging compared to chunkier flagships.

Samsung plans to launch the S25 Edge through an online-only event on May 13. It will first go on sale in South Korea, followed by a US release. Rumours suggest the pricing will fall between €1,200 and €1,400 (approx ₹1,12,000-₹1,30,000). As for availability elsewhere, it’s still unclear. Samsung is reportedly making only 40,000 units initially to test the demand.

The Galaxy S25 Edge features a titanium frame and will be available in colours like Titanium Icy Blue, making it a stylish and bold addition to Samsung’s lineup.

FAQs

Q1. When is the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge launching?

Answer. Samsung will officially unveil the Galaxy S25 Edge on May 13, 2025. Sales begin in South Korea on May 23 and in the US on May 30.

Q3. How does the Galaxy S25 Edge differ from the S25 Ultra?

iQOO could be gearing up to expand its Neo 10 lineup with a new Pro+ model unlike the previous series didn’t have one. Unlike the Pro model, which used a MediaTek chipset, the iQOO Neo 10 Pro+ is rumoured to be powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. Here’s everything we know so far:

iQOO Neo 10 Pro+ Geekbench Details

A device believed to be the iQOO Neo 10 Pro+ has been spotted on Geekbench under the model number Vivo V2463A. (For reference, the Neo 10 Pro carries the Vivo V2426A model number.)

In terms of performance, the alleged Pro+ model scored 3,082 points in the single-core test and 9,341 points in the multi-core test.

Interestingly, the listing mentions the codename “Sun,” which is specifically linked to the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Based on the structure and clock speeds listed, it looks like the phone will indeed feature this flagship chipset.

The Geekbench entry also hints that the phone will run Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15 layered on top and come with 16GB of RAM. Other memory options could be available at launch as well.

iQOO Neo 10 Pro+ – Specs (Leaked)

Tipster Digital Chat Station has reportedly shared a few more details about the Pro+ variant. According to leaks, the Neo 10 Pro+ might sport a 6.82-inch flat AMOLED screen with 2K resolution. By comparison, the Neo 10 Pro has a slightly smaller 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate.

While the exact battery capacity isn’t confirmed, reports suggest it could have a 7,000mAh+ battery. Like the Pro model, it’s expected to support 120W fast charging. For context, the Neo 10 Pro has a 6,100mAh battery.

The Pro+ model could feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite, clocked at 4.32GHz, whereas the Dimensity 9400 inside the Neo 10 Pro tops out at 3.63GHz. While the Dimensity’s GPU might still be faster, the Snapdragon 8 Elite promises better CPU performance.

On the back, the Neo 10 Pro+ could house a 50MP main sensor paired with an 8MP secondary camera — likely an ultrawide lens. On the front, a 16MP camera is expected. However, this would mean a downgrade from the Neo 10 Pro, which offers a 50MP ultrawide sensor instead.

Tipster DCS also mentions that the device could feature a dual-chip setup, possibly including a dedicated display chip for enhanced visuals.

Global iQOO Neo 10 Variant Nearing Launch

iQOO also seems to be preparing a Neo 10 model for the global market. The global version recently received certification from Indonesia’s SDPPI agency, following approval from India’s BIS authority a few days ago.

iQOO Neo 10 SDPPI Certification

According to the SDPPI listing, the phone carrying the model number I2405 will launch globally as the iQOO Neo 10. The same model had earlier cleared BIS certification in India. Sadly, there’s no official confirmation about its global specs yet.

For those unfamiliar, iQOO typically offers slightly different Neo 10 models in China and international markets. Back in December 2024, it launched the Neo 10 and Neo 10 Pro in China, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Dimensity 9400 chips, respectively. The upcoming Neo 10 Pro+ appears to be an incremental upgrade over the current Neo 10 Pro for China.

Meanwhile, iQOO earlier introduced the Neo 10R in India featuring the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Now, with the Neo 10 appearing in global certifications, its launch seems just around the corner, though it remains unclear if the global version will carry the same hardware as its Chinese counterpart.

Just to recap, the Chinese iQOO Neo 10 comes with a 6.78-inch flat AMOLED LTPO display offering a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It’s equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, a 6,100mAh battery with 120W fast charging, and a dual rear camera setup (50MP main + 8MP ultrawide), along with a 16MP front camera.

Tipster DCS shared images showing off the Reno 14’s fresh new design.

It features a “cannon-style” camera layout made with cold-carving techniques, a big R-angle design and an aluminium alloy side frame, giving it a look that’s very similar to an iPhone.

According to DCS, the Reno 14’s texture and finish are so polished that it’s “almost impossible to tell the two apart at a glance.” The front of the phone hasn’t been shown yet, but it’s rumoured to have a flat display.

Apple’s Smart Glasses Are on the Way, But Don’t Expect Them Too Soon: Gurman

0

Highlights

  • Apple is working on AI-powered smart glasses that will analyse the environment and provide information to the wearer.
  • It will possibly include cameras, microphones and speakers, though Apple is still deciding whether to include cameras due to privacy concerns.
  • Expected release around 2027 alongside a new version of AirPods featuring built-in cameras.

Apple’s smart glasses are getting closer to becoming a reality, according to a new report.

In the latest edition of his Power On newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says that Apple is still working on its own pair of smart glasses. The product, which is currently codenamed N50, will combine some of the company’s AI developments into a pair of glasses that, hopefully, won’t be too expensive.

We have previously reported on how Apple’s big dream is to build industry-leading augmented reality glasses. But that’s still a few years away from being something regular consumers can actually buy.

Reports suggest Apple is aiming to make a simpler pair of smart glasses, which will be something more like what Meta has done with its Ray-Ban collaboration. Meta’s smart glasses have gotten pretty popular, packing in a bunch of tech into a fairly normal-looking pair of glasses. They include cameras, microphones, speakers for listening to audio and even an AI assistant, but interestingly, no displays yet.

Apple’s idea is pretty similar. Gurman writes, “This device isn’t close to being ready yet, but the idea is to turn glasses into an Apple Intelligence device. The product will analyze the surrounding environment and feed information to the wearer, though it will stop well short of true augmented reality.”

One thing still up in the air is whether the Apple glasses will be able to take photos. In the past, Gurman has pointed out that Apple might avoid adding cameras because of privacy concerns but that decision hasn’t been finalised yet.

Gurman also mentioned again that Apple is working on a new version of AirPods with cameras built in. Those would also help push the company’s Visual Intelligence technology into new kinds of devices.

If everything goes according to plan, both the smart glasses and the camera-equipped AirPods will likely hit the market around 2027.

FAQs

Q1. Is Apple working on smart glasses, and what features will they have?

Answer. Yes, Apple is developing AI-powered smart glasses (codenamed N50) that will analyse the environment and provide information to the wearer. However, they will not offer full augmented reality capabilities.

Q2. How will Apple’s smart glasses compare to Meta’s Ray-Ban collaboration?

Answer. Apple’s glasses are expected to be similar to Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses, featuring microphones, speakers, and possibly cameras. However, Apple has yet to decide whether to include cameras due to privacy concerns.

Q3. When will Apple’s smart glasses be released?

Answer. If everything goes according to plan, Apple’s smart glasses and a new version of AirPods with built-in cameras will likely launch around 2027.
